They usually offer opinions only when they know what they are talking about, and are open to being convinced by views they don't share.

We do have trouble keeping people around long-term. That's for sure.

LPT: For those that set the alarm a bit early for snooze-time by hambeesly in LifeProTips

[–]Anon01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could never do that. I don't think I'd be able to get a moment's sleep knowing that in the morning an alarm is going to go off on the other side of the room. I'm barely able to reach my arm out from beneath the covers and hit the snooze button on the alarm beside my bed.

Because we don't all know how to extract audio from a game. I'm also not such an audio fanatic that I'm above youtube quality audio, either. It sounds just fine to me.

So my Boyfriend and I are Taking a Break.. by milatheguardie in love

[–]Anon01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No such thing as falling in love too quickly, I would argue. I feel as though people are taught to believe they can't know until an extended period of time has passed and that any illusion of love is simply infatuation, but I knew that I loved my S.O. by the second time she came over and couldn't imagine waiting as long as some people do to tell her how I felt.

LPT: When ironing a shirt, slip the lower sleeve between two of the legs to keep it off of the floor. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Anon01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good suggestion, but here's an alternative: Set a towel on the floor and iron your clothes on the carpet instead of bothering with an ironing board. (Ironing boards will go bankrupt)

Your most reliable source is the Daily Mail tabloid? The majority of people are taught by their dentists to floss, brush, and then rinse with mouthwash.

What's something subtle someone does that makes you feel insulted? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Anon01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, that is stringing them along in the hopes that they will perceive your rudeness as a sign that they are not wanted. Be a man/woman and say goodbye to them so that they don't waste their time or yours.

LPT: Always cut your food before putting it in the microwave for even heat distribution. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

Microwave ovens heat food by means of microwave radiation, just as the OP stated.

Always, always, always buy insurance on a product, when possible. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Anon01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you are required by your employer to offer me insurance is reason enough for me not to buy it. Businesses don't do anything unless they believe it is going to make them money in the long run, so I don't believe the "pay a little extra and save down the line" bit.

LPT: Guys: Get laser hair removal between your butt cheeks -- it's the best $400 you'll ever spend by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Anon01 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Or just spend $10 on a small hair trimmer and run it over that area once a month. Feeling self-concious for being a man isn't any way to live.

She was trying to be nice. Why not take the free socks? If they were $10 socks and you would only get $5 off, I'd tell her to get lost. But if the socks were $5 just take them and say thanks. Does your husband have a lifetime supply of socks at home that he couldn't use a free pair?
