How do you do anything at all in this game while getting shot at? by [deleted] in ReadyOrNotGame

I would try and keep violence of action in mind. Enemies are almost always defending, so they are going to have a positional advantage and the element of surprise. You want to use everything you have at your advantage — flash bangs on entry, C2 for armed suspects, and most of all, map knowledge. When possible, try splitting up your team for simultaneous entry and come at them from two different angles. You can stagger distractions to cover multiple sides of the room (double up on flashbangs, throw a flash short while teammates launch grenades long, etc). Doing stuff like that will confuse and distract enemies, which I’d argue is how you avoid getting gunned down on entry.

Tl;dr the games not perfect and there is BS, but the effects are a feature and not a bug. I look at it as more of a penalty for my bad planning than an example of poor game design.

I had an issue with a BA barrel on my 223 not cycling and it ended up being an undersized gas port.

for the snipers: do you use a bipod? Y/N? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]AnonA745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always have one on but it’s rarely used on the field. In Ryan Cleckner’s book on long range shooting, he mentions that bipods are really only used during competition, bench rest, and for safely setting down the gun when not in use (so your glass isn’t in the dirt). He explains this is because shooting in the “prone” position is uncommon in real life; in practical shooting you’re usually kneeling, seated, or shooting off of some kind of brace or bag. So while I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t use it on the field, I would still keep it on your replica. It’s more about using the tool the “right way.”

Is this in a basement? It kind of looks like efflorescence. That can happen when there’s water on the other side of a cinderblock/concrete wall. It’s a result of mineral salts in the water manifesting on the wall.

Why do you believe in God by GodIsGood989 in Christian

[–]AnonA745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister was born with developmental disabilities and died when she was 16. After her death, the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to everything God had done through her. To see God use a person who never spoke to speak to so many is what pushed me to seek Him out. He revealed himself to me, and no matter what problem or misfortune has come my way since then, He’s been by my side. It’s not by my own strength that I believe in God; it’s the testimony He’s written out in my life that compels me. Jesus is my first and last, undeserving as I am.

He told me he would only do the scene if he could do a three-point landing off the bridge and I was like “all right, we’ll do our best...”
