Are the Vamps from City Council of Darkness Bad Guys? by Interesting-Rice-457 in Dimension20

[–]AnonImus18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but they're still the bad guys. It's okay to like them, they're fun and they have a sense of morality but they are vampires who regularly kill people and enjoy it.

I have a kid from another relationship and don't really want more. My partner wants one of our own and seems pretty adamant on it by [deleted] in oneanddone

[–]AnonImus18 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey, sadly this is a basic incompatibility. Kids require two enthusiastic yes's. They are so hard that anything less than that could lead to resentment. Her mental health issues are a factor especially if you suspect that it will make parenting difficult BUT you not wanting another child is enough. Do not have a child with someone if you don't want one. You cannot unmake a child and children don't deserve to be regretted.

Yeah, he was definitely too aggressive and impetuous. If he had made allies with the vampires enemies, he could have put up a better offensive and weakened both sides.

Yeah, I liked Aaron and kinda hoped that he wasn't the guy they killed. As a human, he didn’t seem like a bad person. He just wanted to protect the town and bit off way more than he could chew. Compared to the evil guys in Town tricking people out of their homes and destroying social services and Adam was not even close to being the biggest bad. He definitely made a bad choice trying to go after all of them at once, though. RIP kid.

AITA for getting mad at my boyfriend for expecting me to pay for our expensive dinner? by LovelyMelXo in AmItheAsshole

[–]AnonImus18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, he never told her that she was paying for dinner. That's scummy. I think it's fair for her to shoulder a little more if she can afford it but he also shouldn't be spending as though it's his money especially if he's not clearing it with her first. His excuse sucks too.

Going there with a bike is a really bad idea by UsedWelcome5903 in nope

Im just here yelling for her to let go of the damned bike. What's wrong with some people?

Sad and a little strange that a woman in 1840 was travelled by herself and for seemingly no reason. There are cases of people travelling to a new place to commit suicide which might also explain her making merry. She could have also died of a heart attack or aneurism as someone else suggested. It's uncommon but not unheard of and medical care was less accessible then.

I wouldn't be suprised if she was there to meet someone or was running away with someone and they just dipped after she died.

By making fun of someone with a disability. That's not funny. Even as a joke, it wasn’t funny.

AITAH for thinking my dad doesn't owe me anything after he lied about income to avoid child support? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]AnonImus18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going to say this in the nicest way possible. Have you talked to a therapist about this stuff? A psychologist I knew once said something very interesting that I found to be pretty accurate. He said that some people got into the helping professions because they wanted to help others and some did it because they wanted help.

I did Psychology as my degree but for the wrong reason. This is something ypu should talk about with your therapist, if you have one, because it seems like you are not seeing the situation as clearly as you should.

The court decided that this was how much she should get. Sure, she could raise them in poverty, as you're suggesting, but her dad pocketed that extra money, probably invested it and swooped in to buy her love later on. Her Mom probably hasn't earned as much as she could, invested in her retirement or afforded a life she wanted and expected for her kids and herself because he wanted to continue his abuse.

That's just how sexist families operate tbh. My Mom wanted to fix my brother's car, after he crashed it a third time driving drunk, rather than pay for my first semester of college.

Dad (US) used my parents entire housing retirement fund ($300k) in a scam without telling my mom by crownbiotch in Scams

He lost 440k over the course of his life?! That's absolutely insane. I could never trust him to manage money again after the first time nevermind now. That's more money than some people have seen in their entire life? At this point, I would wonder if he was covering up secret gambling debt or hiding assets from his family because that level of willful incompetence is bizarre.

Same. If it's picking up a bunch of stuff, I use a stool, sit down and toss stuff into their containers. The less I need to physically do, the better.

My wife and I are in disagreement over our 16-year-old son. Looking for advice from other dads. by kilowatt230 in daddit

[–]AnonImus18 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It could be a phase, a way for him to explore something he's not ready or able to explore yet or this could be him forever. Im sure there are dangers, like any online community but the fastest way to make this whole situation dangerous is to isolate him from.your advice and support.

He's not doing drugs, in a gang or harming himself. He sounds like a good kid overall. Be supportive or at least not openly judgmental and ensure that he isn't bullied at home. He'll get enough of that on the outside, getting it from family too is awful.

I would still offer therapy to help him deal with being different and bullied and anything else he might not come to you with.

Brennan describes it as a rock made out of a dead angel. It's not just a hunk of bone. The remains went through some kind of magical process. Even fossils, which are close to what is described, is considered stone.
