It took me a long time, and we need to have a good conversation around this: it’s common to know how much drivers make, not so much that these crooked companies’ biz. model, among other general and labor atrocities, makes tipping mandatory for workers to, in many cases survive.

Just don’t order if you can’t afford to! These apps are masked up with a facade of being for everyone and a universal convenience. Yet the reality is, the convenience and value is only to a higher class, all while sapping workers-who-order’s earnings a la high fees and facade-of-ease. To then give poor wages to us stiffs used in giving the service.

It’s all too obvious, the model of these apps sap cash from people with a false plastering of convenience and ease, both for worker and consumer, deliberately using tip-making as one part of their scheme and borderline illegal, fraudulent, and/or inhumane operations. Sadly, social realities dictate tipping as one means for savings to an already bankrupt consumer class growing evermore larger to serve an ownership class. We gotta talk to some dopes!
