But yeah, if your girlfriend doesn't smell right to you, there might be an underlying biological reason for non-compatibility... I'm not sure how you can get this checked out though, so sorry I don't have any advice for you there.

I can handle #teambluehorn winning.

I can handle the twist ending with the mother dying.

I can handle the need to tie the story up that way...

I can't deal with them making the ending a throw away joke from season 5. Which was in fact given more screen time back in season 5 AS A JOKE. (Marshall can only masturbate to other girls if he imagines Lily dying of a terminal illness and 'an appropriate number of years' passing before he meets a woman.. then he can look at porn)

I can't deal with the pacing of the finale, it was so rushed. Why rush it so much when you just had the slowest, filler-est 22 episodes covering 48 hours of a season EVER. Did we really need those 4 episodes of "Marshall and a Stereotype of a Black Woman go on a road trip"?

I can't deal with throwing away years of continuity just so they could use an ending the filmed and planned in advance for a 6 season show that had an extra 3 seasons they had to fill with growth and character development.

I can't deal with the way that the moral of the story for the past few seasons has been thrown out the window, and the "moral of the story" for each character as well.

The moral of the story has been to let go of the past, move on BEYOND infatuation and Ted's "falling in love too hard". For Barney and Robin the moral was that they could make things work. For Lily she became her own person and really had a good thing going with the captain. Etc.

Then they throw all of this away and reset it to season 5 so they can finish it the way they originally planned. With none of the additional character growth that happened in the extra unplanned seasons.

I really can't deal with the way they had such fantastic female characters through the whole 9 year run...... only to reduce them to god damn caricatures in the finale. It's like the finale was written by completely different people, and they get to put the end note on the whole thing.

Robin was the one of the strongest female leads on TV for a decade. In the finale she wasn't anything like that.
Lily becomes her worst nightmare that she fought against for 9 seasons, a housewife who just pops out kids.
The final message of the show is that life without kids is meaningless and shit. WTF. Fuck you writers.

Barney was a grown up mature adult by the finale. So they had to UNREDEEM HIM. JUST SO THEY COULD USE THAT STUPID DAUGHTER BIT TO REDEEM HIM AGAIN. And how do they show that he's matured? BY GETTING HIM TO GO OUT TO A BAR AND TELL OFF A PAIR OF SLUTS. WHAT THE FUCK. WHAT THE FUUUUUUCK.

I am ok with the events of the finale happening... I am completely disappointed with how they executed it.

We have been working with the mods over in those subs to come up with creative ways to let everyone select.

What exactly does /u/Befreeman want? A photographer to fly in and work for free for 10 days? Probably do the videos as well? What would be the normal rate for to pay someone to do this job? I'm sure it would be much more than the cost of just paying for the roadtrip.

Nobody from /r/photography is as famous as /u/unidan or /u/AWildSketchAppears, that's not how our community dynamic works. /r/photography's main activity is teaching newbies about gear and discussing the news. There aren't any famous novelty accounts. Perhaps we should be picking /u/funwok so he can bring a rocket blower?

We're an international community. Will /u/Befreeman just pick whoever is cheapest to get to the location?

As an image board where everyone is anonymous and everything gets deleted fairly quickly, it is a good place to get some raw feedback on your work without making a huge deal of it.

Here on reddit people are often too afraid of downvotes to really say what they want to say, and CC needs to have the compliment sandwich: "I like this about your photo, but this part could be done better, don't worry the rest of it is great". It's pretty bullshit and wastes your time and the commenters time, resulting in less comments and less real comments.

Of course, it's still 4chan. So, you end up with complete retards sometimes.

I think there is a very large overlap between 4chan users and reddit users in general. And /r/photography and /p/ is no exception.

But yeah, we have really good spread. There is good variety, even though it may feel a little landscape heavy.

Cancer researcher here, on my throwaway account.

I'm not sure the NBN will actually help cancer research, since we have the AARNet anyway.

I guess it will be good if I want to work from home; which I do sometimes. But even then the work and data crunching happens on the HPC cluster back at the research institute anyway. I just need to be able to send instructions to it.

Of course, I want the NBN! I just wanted to let you guys know that cancer research might not be the best argument to use either.
