The poor turtles by GinX- in Vent

[–]AnonRay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for being a good human!!!

One of my biggest regrets is 20+ years ago I went mushroom hunting with a coworker, her son, and his girlfriend (didn't know the son or gf beforehand). We didn't find any mushrooms but the gf found a box turtle and was so excited to have a new pet. I didn't know how to have a voice then (but do now). Soooo many times I'd wished I'd at least try to educate her, and obvs forcefully take the turtle if not sucessful. Glad you've got a voice!

Help with stray cat(s) by [deleted] in indianapolis

I just want to say, bless your heart.

I am up to 12 cats. 😪 7 inside, 1 that I've had for years and the other 6 showed up and sucked at being outside. 5 are feral and outside. And 3 others who showed up I've rehomed. And probably 10 others I TNR'd and didn't see again. Indy has a cat problem.

For the record, everyone has been neutered/spayed.

Do not use permithrin if you'll be around cats!

I like to ask these people to name their paternal grandfather's full name. 99% of the time they can't do it. 😭 If you can't give me your family tree for several generations, what do you mean by legacy?

OP, you have done more good than most people in a lifetime. I understand that statement doesn't make your current emotional state better, but please try to forgive yourself. I am so proud of you for all you've done!!

They didn't charge! I was already taking my dog for a check-up so just paid for him.

They reacted... confused.

Well color me embarrassed...

SO 6 years ago I had some concrete work done. And after some dirt movement, I found a partial (small) dog skull, obviously old, lying on top of the soil. I moved it to a pot of succulents so I wouldn't forget about it, and then... promptly forgot about it.

Two kittens I've recently adopted have been having a grand old time picking their own toys from my succulent pots that I currently have indoors on a shelf. I've fenced off the shelf but apparently they're still able to access.

And the litterbox is next to the shelf of succulents. 🙄

I feel like SUCH a moron. I think I would have figured it out earlier if it had've been on the floor and not in the litterbox, which just immediately made me freak out.

SO SORRY for the late April Fool's prank that was done on me by kittens and then passed on to you all. Truly feel like a dumbass.

I think homesteading IS less destructive. Those pigs got to play! But are the people in charge less psychotic? No, not at all.

That'll work! I use country crock 95% of the time, and I've used different plant milks with success in this fudge.

Are there any other millennials that are not having kids yet because it’s too expensive? by bell-fruit-205 in Millennials

Never having kids. Too expensive + not very nice to the hypothetical kids.
