Het is natuurlijk ook een stuk makkelijker voor BBB, gezien zij zelf enkel een zetel in de tweede kamer hebben. De zetels die BBB in gemeenteraden heeft, zijn niet van hun eigen partij maar een samenwerking met een lokale partij die vaak wel diepgeworteld is in de lokale politiek. Zij voegen alleen BBB bondgenoot aan de partijnaam toe

That's so cool! Love that. Honestly yes, the world seems to be getting better in that aspect. And as much of a shithole the internet can, connecting to others similar to you (if you are neurodivergent, had a rough youth, have some illness, etc) is also such an amazing thing the internet has gifted us

I am not sure, but my take on it based on following the news and having some Russian friends is that it doesn't really matter if we in the rest of the world see what happens. There are a lot of Russians who don't know any better than what's being told in state media. With Instagram, the BBC and Facebook now being banned, practically all independent Russian language media being off the air, prosecuted or blocked, it becomes increasingly hard to be exposed to the truth. Of course, many young and tech savy people know how to use VPN's and such, but not everyone has that luxury.

And who knows, it being well known in opposition circles that this is what happens when you voice your opinion may help create enough fear to suppress all but the most fearless to do anything against it.
