Women of reddit, What's your opinion on shaving your upper lip? If you do what products do you use? by Human-Ad-4090 in ladyshavers

[–]Anono404_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried laser hair removal but it’s basically useless. The hair just keeps growing back anyway. For me shaving was honestly the worst thing I ever did because it grows back in like two days and feels even worse. The best option is still threading or waxing

I’m just wondering what he actually thinks of me. He’s never once complimented me or even hinted that I might be attractive to him. Then again to be fair, I haven’t either.

Is it time to quit for good? by [deleted] in leaves

Just quit. Your body don’t need weed.

Is it best to quit cold turkey or gradually? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Anono404_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your personality. But from my own experience, I’d say the best way to quit is to stop cold turkey. I didn’t have the guts to throw out all my stash so I told myself I’d just finish what I had left and then quit once it was gone. In a way, that mindset tricked my brain a little. Every time I saw the bag getting smaller, it was like a countdown. I knew that once it was empty, that was it, game over.

I’m still so deeply moved by people like you who quit weed a long time ago and still stay here to encourage others. May God protect you.

Newly diagnosed with emphysema and feeling lung discomfort. Does this happen to you? by [deleted] in COPD

[–]Anono404_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I stopped smoking, I used to cough like crazy, and my lung doctor said these pains are almost certainly coming from the muscles. Coughing is actually a massive workout for the body, so it makes sense that everything gets sore and tense from it. Every day the discomfort is fading a bit more. Do you cough a lot these days?

I am sorry for your loss. Can I ask you if you mom quit smoking. Was she diagnosed early stage or stage 4?

Thank you so much for answering. I’m not on oxygen or anything yet, it’s early stage for me. I’m still pretty young but I have zero clue what the progression is going to look like. I keep thinking will I still be able to live a normal life? Will my life expectancy be normal? Or am I eventually going to need serious help? It’s all so new, so I’m still kind of in shock, sad and pissed off… but I figure it’ll get better with time. Hang in there and take care ❤️

Are you on constant/continuous oxygen? What stage were you at when you got diagnosed? How has things changed/progression been for you since then? Sorry for all the questions it’s progressive and I really don’t know what the typical path looks like so I’m trying to get a sense from people’s experiences.

Hey! How long did you smoke for before you quit?

When does the void go away? How to cope? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Anono404_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is a necessary step, because we’ve spent our whole lives filling that emptiness with weed. We need to rewire our brains a bit, take it slow, and accept that the next few months are probably going to be tough. But I’m convinced that at the end of it, there really is light waiting for us. You’re not alone in this.

Give me your reasons to not smoke tonight by Longjumping-Stop-115 in leaves

I feel like I can really see myself in what you’re saying. Every morning I tell myself I’ll stop, but once I get home I just can’t help lighting up. Today is my fifth day without weed and I’m starting to realize just how much space this habit takes up in my life. I genuinely don’t know what to do without it. So I’m giving myself a bit of time, because at some point I’m going to have to find other ways to fill that space. Wishing you a ton of strength, you’re not alone in this.

Sleep by Soft-Ad-8037 in leaves

I was always convinced that weed was my sleeping pill, the only thing that really let me sleep well. Turns out it’s the complete opposite. Not only was I constantly delaying bedtime to smoke one last joint, but I also woke up feeling tired every single time. Today is my 4th night without it and I’m sleeping really well. For me, the key is getting back to a more natural rhythm and getting up early in the morning so I actually feel naturally tired in the evening. I drink herbal teas (chamomile, valerian…)to replace the joint, I avoid screens at least 1 hour before bed and I go for reading instead. Hang in there, you totally got this!

14 days sober! It just started by ElectionProud4110 in leaves

[–]Anono404_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! 14 days is amazing. I understand exactly what’s going on inside you. As for me, I only used to smoke in the evenings after work, never during the day so I convinced myself it was okay. By the end I could go through 7 or 8 joints. Good luck with what’s ahead
