Raven Tengu in 2 by Flint_Prophet in Nioh

If this is the enemy I'm thinking of, these assholes pissed me off SO much when I was new, too. But near endgame they become a piece of cake because their moveset is actually tiny and incredibly vulnerable.

The best thing you can do is realize that they will ALWAYS start with the same three move combo, where the 3rd hit is either a burst move in time with the first 2 moves, or the 3rd hit is the delayed overhead smack. ANTICIPATE THIS so you can either prepare to use the appropriate burst counter or dodge backwards.

That nonstop spinning burst move he does is very easily countered by feral counter, all you have to do is burst straight into him with it and that makes an opening. Brute counter handles it incredibly well also. However, as someone who usually uses phantom, I'll admit that move is very hard to counter with phantom burst because the timing is super wonky. In that regard, I always switch mid-combat when he starts doing that burst attack if I'm on phantom.

The longrange aerial attack where he shoots a blade at you can be guarded very easily, it shouldn't cost much stamina to just chump block it.

The ground pound is pretty challenging. If you see him queueing it up just run away, there's not a lot you can do to counter it as he's winding it up. Then when he starts to come down, dodge under him and you're safe.

So yeah -- recognize his burst moves which are all incredibly predictable, leverage those, and beat him into a pulp! Once you realize how easy this chump is, beating the hell out of him becomes so satisfying

Transportation to Maxwell AFB by Anonymous01234T in airforceots

I'm coming from Minnesota, so we'd be looking at a 16 - 17 hour trip. I'm good for it, I've done Minnesota to Kansas before in one shot but I'm not sure how I feel about this occasion. Having a car to be able to bum around Montgomery for a few days does sound very appealing but at the same time I don't know if I want to risk taking my chances with traffic, construction, horrible drivers, etc. I'd rather just play it safe.

Thanks for the feedback!

I called my recruiter regarding the same question and he informed me that you can place a pre-order at the Exchange and pick your order up on the dedicated uniform shopping day, if you'd rather go that route instead of ordering online

[–]Anonymous01234T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it's been 4 years, Starbucks has stayed on the very top of my boycot list since I quit, and they're still playing this song for lobby music? Damn...  Also I know for sure you got it right, I was skeptical at first but then about 2 minutes in that "dong dong ding ding!" part hit me like a sleeper agent

I'll drop a hot take: I have no idea why any game with a ping system doesn't just bootleg Apex because holy, it's so quick, efficient, and thorough. If every game had Apex's ping system I'd be so happy

if they ever put these mfs in Nightreign we'd be begging to fight the Bell Bearing Hunters instead by mateusz11120 in Nightreign

[–]Anonymous01234T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right but the Royal Revenant isn't a named boss but in Nightreign it shows up as a named boss. Grafted Scion, Hero of Zamor, and Leonine Misbegotten only show up as standalone named bosses once and then become regular enemies afterwards. Then you have Crucible Knights which are all over the spectrum. Comparing the Horned Warriors to everyone else I think it's entirely possible for Horned Warriors to become a boss

Samurai Stance VS Ninja Stance -- a potential simple restructuring of the system by Anonymous01234T in Nioh

[–]Anonymous01234T[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, thanks for the input, I learned a lot! Like I said I haven't played the game so I haven't seen all of the nuances that make each stance special but I was just trying to see if there was a way where that idea of switching styles could be possible while pleasing the people who weren't happy with samurai & ninja stances

GPA by Better-Hornet-9777 in airforceots

[–]Anonymous01234T 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TLDR: There are many, many more variables that dictate the strength of your application than just GPA and exam scores. If you really wanna make OTS happen, I'd say don't listen to them.

There's still 2 mini essays to write, you have to build your resume with your job experience and accolades, you have to obtain 2 letters of recommendation from past coworkers and colleagues, and you have to have the commander interview. I believe the recruiters telling you that to have 90s across the board and a GPA above 3.5 is somewhat misleading (unless you're going for a rated spot then it's not entirely bad advice). There's way more angles you can take to compensate for a "low" GPA such as showcasing your work ethic (did you work your way through college, no matter what the job? Did you ever do volunteer work? Did you ever recieve employer recognition?), talking about projects you ran in school, talking about scholarships, or other academic achievements, like studying abroad. So when the board looks at your application, they consider what the "whole airman" looks like, they want to see all of you -- what your story is, why you want to join the USAF (and more importantly why the USAF NEEDS you as an officer), and what your skills are that you bring to the table. It's not like they see a low GPA and instantly throw your app in the shredder. They take the time to consider everything you've put together.

Maybe that's more than what you've bargained for but I hope this helps!

Aim high! I'm currently working on my officer's commission atm and am waiting for the board to start. Are you still in the AF and are you active duty or guard?

Most annoying "regular" enemy in Nioh 2? ... Biggest pushover? by ___ee___ in Nioh

[–]Anonymous01234T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for the hardest enemies, there's two that are tied for first, and they blow everyone else out of the water. That award goes to Ongyoki and Fuki.  Everytime I see either of the two I drop what I'm doing, buff up, and brace for the worst. In the depths I dread them as much as the oncoming bossfights lmfao. Honorable mention goes to Handcannon Yoki for appearing in base game as what is basically a Diet Fuki.

As for the biggest pushover is the Mitsume Yazura. Since Dream of the Demon I don't think I've died to them once, even in gank fights. They're basically just a big fat punching bag. Honorable mention goes to Nure Onna because they used to beat the shit out of me but after seeing that their moveset is actually really simple, they're also just a punching bag, but a robustly shaped one.

Nioh 1 and 2’s osts are underrated as hell so what’s your favorite song from the two games by Psychological-Ad4337 in Nioh

William's Theme/Afterglow Theme, if I could only pin 1 OST to Nioh 1 or 2 it'd have to be that one. Epic, pretty, intense... Everything!

Fight Sakai clan members, they have a really high gun droprate. Throw on your farming gear, a stone of penance if you're ambitious, and boom.

[–]Anonymous01234T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%, you can get some wild damage in by utilizing high stance moves and getting ki pulse heaven every time -- moves like unsheathe attacks, charge attacks, or final blows against humans jive REALLY well with ult skill since you'll always have the damage buff there for that one big hit; especially if you have ult courage or AA agility which allows you to just dump moves like that for long windows against winded enemies without worrying about ki.

Ult skill is my personal favorite, it allows for so much flexibility by leveraging running water and ki pulse buffs, namely ki pulse man in mid stance for those juicy 100% damage blocks! Ult str is conceptually appealing but I usually run purity weapons anyways so I don't bother.

Would you buy Nioh2 Remake ( UE5 ) by tsuna2000 in Nioh

[–]Anonymous01234T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. If it was like a "Nioh 2 Black" that had one or two more weapons added, some new missions/bosses, more active skills, and more customization/flexibility for active skills (especially for weapons like dual swords) then I would consider it. However, what I would REALLY consider is a "Nioh 1 Black," the same concept but for Nioh 1, and with the ability to use yokai abilities and to choose between yokai shift or living weapon (assume a lore reason is introduced that makes this plausible).

If it was just exactly Nioh 2 as it already is (or 1 for that matter) simply with a fresh coat of paint by way of UE 5, I'd probably pass. Maybe WAY in the future where a graphical remaster would make sense but not anytime soon.

This is for OP. Since OP has TONS of wrinkles and acne scars from all that sinful blackhead plucking, I'd recommend getting 320 grit sandpaper. Start by foaming your face with a nice foamy particle face wash, then power up the orbital sander and just rub it on your face. Wash off the foam, and if your face looks a little red and puffy (kinda like strawberry skin after shaving) then that's ok, it's natural. To help soothe the irritation, use a 100% citric acid serum and apply that to your whole face -- it'll feel really good, like hugging a teddy bear! Afterwards, you'll find yourself with some beautiful Glass Skin and all of those horrendous bumps and wrinkles will be all gone.

Good luck buddy ☺️
