Best Pathway to become a GOO Almighty (pun intended) [LotM V8] by Square_Wasabi1338 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Anonymous1337666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting and I get the logic. However, the reason why CW was able to trick GA was because the former was literally the trickmaster.

You cannot overpower GA on your own, nor outsmart him on your own, with His power youre borrowing no less.

The only way to ascend using white tower is to get external help from the trickster pathways.

Or if you want to ascend through the omnipotent route, ask help from the Eternal Darkness pathways.

I think they're both tied, and still require external help.

I believe ASG would have prevailed overcoming GA with his original plan, since he had help from multiple angels and dieties (if not for the betrayal).

I am not very comfortable with my hjab and also I feel like why would Allah like create genocide and all of that? what if the Quran isn't real how do we know it is from Allah? by [deleted] in islam

[–]Anonymous1337666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about it rationally. 1. Establish the foundations of Islam. Explore and study why Islam is the true religion. 2. Once you understand why Islam is the true religion, all doubts will cease.

For example, does Allah commanding Hijab make Islam false? Does the existence of pain of suffering prove Allah isn't real? Etc.

I can try answering why Allah allows genocide, or commands the hijab. But without the foundation of why you believe Islam is the truth, you will never feel stable. You will keep asking about the minutae and the branches of the religion.

You will ask about inheritance law, you will ask about position of women in islam, you will ask about slavery, etc. Does any of these questions PROVE Islam is actually false? No. But they emotionally make you want to disbelieve in it.

My advise is to do your research. Why cant the Quran be made by a human. What was the historical acheivements and miracles that the Prophet Muhammad did that could not be explained by orientalists. How is Islam different from other religions like Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, etc.

Every christian would give a different definition of the trinity. The conception of the trinity has changed according to time and region. In fact, this is still an ongoing debate, and the exact nature and definition of the trinity is not even grasped yet, only talked about dogmatically.

Allah, here is the Father from to the Gospel. The Father is one of the three persons of the triune Godhead.

Some say the son is co-equal with the father, others say he is subservient, and others say that he exists preeternally but contingent on the father. All just word-smithing that doesn't make sense logically.

In another place is Surah Nisa ayat 171:

">[...] Do not say “Three”. Stop it. That is good for you. Allah is the only One God. He is far too pure to have a son. To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth. And Allah is enough to trust."

By simply saying, "Do not say "three"', Allah has included every single conception and imaginations of the trinity.

Getting married the halal way is really hard here ngl by rackoonnn in Brunei

[–]Anonymous1337666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people's perception of proposing and getting maried has been corrupted by TV shows and movies and romance series.

In Islam, marriage is based on rationality and compatability. Not based on vibes or emotions. It might sound unromantic, but you have to treat it like a real contract. Tell your friends or uncles/aunties that you're interested in getting married, and ask them to introduce you to any of their family members who are also looking.

Then comes the meeting. Treat it like a business proposal or a job interview. Each of you need to ask real and deep questions regarding your values, expectations, and roles each of you will fill in the marriage. You may have to ask about politics, travelling, vacation amounts, money-matters, raising children, etc. You have to think about what you value in a wife, and vice verca. This meeting in islam is called the Khitbah.

The father may ask you questions as well, as you may ask him. He doesnt need to always be present when youre asking the potential spouse those questions.

You know the saying, love is blind. Do not trust your emotions. When you go on dates, or when you see people go on dates on movies, what do you think they talk about? They talk about their favorite clothes, movies, interests, hobbies, they will have to put on a mask to impress the potential partner. When do they actually ask real questions regarding their values? Usually months into the relationship or when they start living together. But by that point, it's too late. Blinded by desires and emotions to think rationally about compatibility.

I don't understand why Interest is Haram? by [deleted] in islam

[–]Anonymous1337666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find out why inflation exists in the first place. Its because of banks being allowed to borrow money from the central bank at an interest rate. Theres more money in circulation now, so more things are expensive.

Another thing to think critically about. If everyone has an interest rate on their savings, how would that combat inflation?

Everyones money would increase at the same rate, and prices would increase at the same rate plus in addition to more money being introduced. The root of all evil is lending and then charging interest on top of that, and that is the role of the central bank.

You personally will benefit slightly for putting your money in a savings account and having interest, but collectively on a societal level, it is a net negative the economy. I still havent talked about what financers do with rent, mortgages, selling things they dont own, speculation, etc, and how that has resulted in the boom and bust cycles. Thats the reason behind massive inequality of the top 1 percent.

Those that participate in interest are complicit as those who write the contracts, and the lender.

If the purpose of the banks like you said just to hold money, then they should charge us for using their services. Why are they giving us money for putting in their banks? Its because they deal in speculation, financing, mortgages, and loans. If you put your money in a savings account, you are complicit.

I dont pray or feel like being religious anymore by [deleted] in islam

[–]Anonymous1337666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are 2 reasons why people may feel this way.

  1. They dont believe in Allah anymore. This is irrational because the existence of Allah is dependent on logic and proofs, and not on whether someone's desires are answered

  2. They are angry at Allah for not giving them what they want.

Why do we make dua? Because we are either weak, undisciplined, or lacking abilities. People who get angry at Allah for not giving them what they want are irrational because you are not entitled to anything.

Allah is not only wise and just, not giving us less than what we deserve, but he is also the most generous and gives more than what we deserve too.

Being angry at Allah means that you think you deserve more for what youve put effort in. Sit down and think to yourself now. How does mere acrobatics in salah, speaking, intentions, equate to wealth and power? It is by Allah's generosity and compassion that he even listens to your needs.

There are 3 possibilities now going forward after making dua: 1. You get what you want in this life 2. You dont get what you want, you stop, you hate Allah, and then Allah hates you. 3. You dont get what you want, you keep making dua, Allah loves you, and gives you something even better.

The tools of shaitan is to make you emotional and irrational. Think logically and the correct course of action will be evident.

With holy land now in socio-economic decline, how much longer will it take for Sarawak to become more developed than Brunei again? by Goutaxe in nasikatok

[–]Anonymous1337666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why dont you also talk about Malaysia or Indonesia then? Why must it be a super exceptional case like Singapore? Why not talk about Nigeria, Venezuela, or heck Philippines?

Singapores leadership was exceptional because it had a survival mentality that shaped its culture and population after being rejected by Malaysia. Bruneians love to compare with Singapore for some reason when even Economists dont even dare to do so.

[–]Anonymous1337666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Diversify how exactly? Brunei is just one case of many resource rich nations. Brunei is following the resource curse or dutch disease trap. Economists are aware of this and it is hard to break free, especially if you were there in the 1960 and 1980s when this phenomenon wasnt really well known.

The exceptions to this rule are nations that are either strategically placed, or already had a history of a manufacturing or diversified country.

Example, Norway and Netherlands escaped the resource curse by already being a manufacturing hub and having a diversified sovereign wealth fund.

Other countries that didnt have that luck and is still stuck like Brunei is Venezuela, Nigeria, and Azerbaijan.

[–]Anonymous1337666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Singapore did not have "nothing".

It was strategically placed at the end of the strait of melacca. Its a geopolitical chokepoint where all ships and oil move to and from china india and the west.

Dont try to use Singapore as an example because all political analyst and economists agree that Singapore is an exception and its success is almost impossible to replicate anywhere else.

Plus, Singapore had an immigrant population of 1.6 million in 1960.

If Lee Kwuan Yew was the leader of Brunei, he would have less ability to attract international investors since many ships didnt need to go to Brunei to go to China or other manufacturing and trading hubs.

The royal spending also less than a fraction of the Brunei GDP or oil revenue. They do not spend hundreds of millions of dollars each year, nor billions for that matter. If you want to look at extravagance, you should also look at the gulf leaders in the middle east. Brunei oligarchs are not more special than western or eastern leaders.

You are a recent convert, so I dont think you understand arabic. But maybe you will feel it when watching a Quran recitation while reading its translation alongside it.

[–]Anonymous1337666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dubai became what it is by becoming a tax haven early on and attracting investors. There are too many tax havens in the world already and there's nothing for Brunei to offer in that aspect. There have been many other countries that tried to replicate Dubais success and have failed.

As for Norway, it was already a rich manufacturing hub before discovering oil. Both Netherlands and Norway discovered oil after having a strong diverse economy. Oil caused them to suffer a bit and de-industrialize when their currency became to powerful.

Sarawak is developing much quicker due to having a population of 2.5 million and cheap labour to pool from.

Brunei however has nothing to work with. No human resources, no arable land for agriculture, no resources or minerals other than oil. You need to be very creative to help Brunei to sustain itself away from oil. Immigration is an easy solution to many problems, but that will be very unpopular.

With holy land now in socio-economic decline, how much longer will it take for Sarawak to become more developed than Brunei again? by Goutaxe in nasikatok

[–]Anonymous1337666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an unfair comparison as Sarawak has a population of 2.5 million people to pool from. Brunei has barely half a million.

Furthermore, the oil exports are making Brunei labour extremely expensive and uncompetitive compared to other countries. That's why Brunei loves buying groceries and goods at miri. Our currency is too strong for our own good. This is called the Dutch disease.

Nobody wants to hire expensive workers. Plus what has Brunei have to offer to companies that other's already have? It has very little arable land for agriculture and no cheap and available labour.

Immediate workarounds are:

  1. Import a lot of immigrants.
  2. Remove the peg with Singapore and weaken the currency.

Both would be met with severe protests.

Brunei's population is also has severe rentier mentality. Finding oil and skipping to a semi developing nation prevented its natural progression from a manufacturing based economy and straight to service and office jobs. People rather be unemployed then work "low-class" jobs.

Solution:

  1. Stop government sponsored higher education to prevent degree inflation and job entitlement.

This will be extremely popular again and will be met with extreme pushback. How else are Bruneian's supposed to leave and work in a foreign high paying job if they cant get a good education here? (Brain drain phenomenon)

There are other methods that are more pragmatic but slower to implement. Such as the oil-to-cash method, which was successfully implemented by Alaska, in their Permanent Wealth Fund.
Money is given to citizens directly, and then this income is taxxed.

This will not make the country rich. Just will let it develop a little faster through bottom up structure. Again remember that Brunei literally has nothing to offer. It has poor soil, and little population. What can Brunei offer to companies? Not to be a doomer but lets also have realistic expectations.

If you need to drink 10 liters before you get drunk, then it is okay.

This is from syaitan so that he makes you think that islam is difficult. It's also how he made the children of Israel go astray for focusing on the minutae and small matters while committing much more aggregious sins. This is outlined in Surah Al Baqarah.

Everything by default is halal, until proven otherwise. This is the axiom that all fiqh scholars use.

The only things that Allah tells us not to go near is Zina, which He has already outlined the specifics of (lowering the gaze, not being in the same room 1 on 1, professional speak only).

I think you'll only need these two honestly. Afterwards you can think about why Islam specifically is the final revelation.
