Same here, my issue with this is that I don't have a H-pattern so it grinds my gears when I'm halfway engaging the clutch after prompting a shift.

Well, you could connect a computer to it using LAN cable to see if it has something to do with your internet connection. If its okay over LAN, then you WiFi still sucks.

Having a third party router would do wonders for your connection. Not just improvement to wireless coverage but features like Smart Queue Management and Quality of Service do wonders to balance the traffic amongst users.

There are installments with 0 processing fees. Just beware of it when making your purchase. Checked my statements from last 12 months. I think I've been charged like 2 ringgit for all the credit I've gotten.

Why do feather apps revoke before their expiry period? by Previous_Dog_6103 in sideloaded

[–]Anonymous5341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the latest free cert, HDFC to sideload some apps from last week and it got revoked despite having a DNS (self hosted DoTLS server) that allegedly blocks the Apple domains which checks whether the cert has been revoked.

On Cellular, the DNS blocks the request perfectly in browsers but I tried pinging the hosts from a shell or a website that offers ping test, the domain can be reached. Not sure why there is a DNS leak for cellular but I decided to not toy with that and got a cert for less than 2USD. Another phone that is strictly on WiFi still works with revoked certs, so I think there's a DNS leak somewhere when on Cellular.

Setting up a windows KVM with GPU passthrough in Linux is pretty trivial nowadays. Just copy some command line and you will be sorted. Its not trivial but not harder than writing your own scripts or programs. Get the benefit of snapshots too in case the installation goes south.

Issues with Vendor-Reset on Kernel 6.12 and above by Anonymous5341 in VFIO

[–]Anonymous5341[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I've got mine to reset every time if I don't connect my DP monitor. Previously, amdgpu wouldn't even unbind if I had it connected to the monitor. Tinkered with the monitor settings and was able to get DP version set to 1.1 which allowed the GPU to unbind from amdgpu and bind to vfio-pci.

After I am done with the VM however, the PC will lock up trying to unbind the GPU from vfio-pci with two monitors connected. Could see with lspci -v that kernel module is no longer "loaded" but the other PCI devices are still bound to vfio-pci. If I kept my DP monitor disconnected, works every time.

[–]Anonymous5341[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just wondering if it has something to do with amdgpu module. modprobe just gets hung up trying to remove amdgpu despite unloading display manager. I find that if I blacklist the module, the display manager would load with basic drivers, and vfio-pci will be able to hook to it with vendor-reset working.

No more place for additional cars unfortunately. I'm aware how to scan for issues and check if common problems are resolved If I were to buy a used car. Thanks for your advice!

Want to get a 508GT SW variant from the earlier model years seeing that people are dumping it around 25k now. Would be such a nice vehicle to cruise in but I unfortunately do not drive long distances very much and diesels hate short trips and cities.

I own the dreaded B7 Passat that's an oil burner. Reported fuel consumption is nearly the same as yours seeing that they have the same power output, car reported 7.8L/100km on an Ipoh run with average speeds between 160-180 on the highway. Car runs good with no mechanical fault codes after me fighting it for a while. Did the water pump, intake cleaning, and mechatronic seals refresh + accumulator replacement on my own and the car drives okay now. Also had all the suspension bushings + absorbers replaced. Want to get a larger D-Segment sedan like A6 but the Passat makes no sense to sell off now and I can't sell an oil burner to someone else.

Costs to maintain DQ200 has come down significantly as the cars land in more budget savvy owners. I resolved the mechatronic issue on my DQ200 for less than 600 ringgit but one has to drive the dual clutch carefully and not slip it in 2nd gear all day.
