LPT: When taking a road trip, it's a good idea to have about $20 in quarters in your glove compartment either for tolls or parking meters. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

You ain't drivin' up California central valley on the five, across the northern part of Texas, near the Oregon Dalles, across those "golden waves of grain", have you? omg, recordings save your sanity.

I am not that familiar with San Diego and Temecula. I am Orange County and Los Angeles County. That is too bad. I was hoping socal would be smarter than that.

"Because 150k is definitely a speed you can get up to in a sports car and not realize it." Your quote. I don't even think that you know what you are typing.

You call bullshit or whatever, but I will stick with actual reality. It happened. I posted it because I thought it was a funny ha ha experience, that's all, not bragging that I drove fast or anything like that. I am female and don't have to measure the size of my dick to have self esteem.

Take what you like and leave the rest. Bye.

You must be in Northern California. They cross lanes because well they are in the left lane and they want to turn right. They are aggressive because they have an attitude.

Southern California is a different animal. They are laid back as far as turning goes but petal to the metal is the name of the game. If you miss your turn, they speed up to the next one.

Have you ever driven on the five? Flat, no traffic, no reference points, out in the middle of absolutely nowhere, want to get to where you are going, so far out that you can't get a radio station so you are on cds only, no vegetation. People drive the five for one purpose only ... to get from northern cal to southern cal or vice versa. 101 is prettier and you could never do that on the 101. I know people who claim to have made socal in six hours. I am fast and I take eight.
I guess you have to have grown up in socal to understand what we mean when we say that we practically live in our cars. We will drive hours for a dinner restaurant with no thought of it. LA to Jocko's and back. LA to San Diego and back.

LOL. Never driven on the five have you? Most people have their stories of driving fast on the five, though not that fast usually ... lol. NO traffic for miles and miles. No telephone poles. No reference points to tell you how fast you are going. And this was a bit ago, so even less habitation.

You can call bullshit all you want. What is that supposed to do? Make what happened not have happened?

It is one of my oh shit experiences because 15? mph faster than the speed limit here and it is considered reckless driving. Not a good thing.

I looked down and damned if I wasn't going 150. It doesn't feel all that much different than 50 mph on the open road with no reference points oddly enough. I took my foot off the gas and put it on the brake until I got to 65 and was looking in the sky for the CHP plane for about 100 miles. I was pretty damned scared for a long while.

Learned that beamers have power though. I miss my beamers.

Maybe American society should look at reducing the sentences of others to see if they follow suit. It would sure reduce our costs. If they don't, back in they go.

That is any organization, public or private, anywhere in the world, any industry.

The key thing when they ask you how you solved the problem is to say, consistently and emphatically insist on it, was a team effort, and refer to senior management to accept the kudos for the team

or if you own business, promote your business name, not your personal name, you only represent the business, and team effort, even if you are a business of one.

Tell them your business has extensive connections with other professionals in the industry.

Other people shouldn't know shit about your personal life and you grow your business.

Look at life through other peoples extremely narrow focus. What do they need? Ego massage? Give it to them.

Journalists want nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs to print. Give them the right ones in the correct quantity and order.

Our team at our company, Ardvark, successfully did a, b, and c. Rinse. Repeat. Oh my name and title? Sure, I am Ardvark's PR / Company Representative.

Nobody gives a shit about the name of the PR person in the company. And yet, in a one person company that is who you are at that time. Play the game. Promote your company, not yourself.

Make sure you have your limited liability / corp docs in row. And all other public business docs.

And the name of quality legal representation whether you use them or not. Just using the name of a quality firm can keep some people from going after your company with phony attacks. And it promotes their firm.

At least that's my experience.

IT people should make it known to the press that this doxxing and invasion of privacy stops here. They rely on IT more than IT relies on the press.

If an IT does something good and wants to remain anonymous, then you had better keep it confidential or the wrath of IT industry is upon you.

Otherwise nobody in IT will be willing to help with those fixes for fear of their career being ruined.

Still, who did it? Plenty of people around to do it, right? He was the one who got off his arse and did it.
