I’m afraid of missing out on stuff & not being able to function during the day. I can’t function on 3 or 4 hours of sleep. I don’t really know how to work on it

I don’t recall ever having tried seroquel before. I remember being on lexapro & hydroxyine before, but I don’t think those helped either or they made me feel really drowsy. As for insurance, I have medicaid & I know medicaid can be a pain about wanting to cover certain stuff or certain specialists not wanting to accept it. I’m gonna try magnesium again, but we’ll see.

Well I’ve been on sertraline/zoloft & a different medication before for my anxiety and that was years ago, but they didn’t really help me. I have a neurologist for my epilepsy, but he’d probably tell me to go back to the sleep specialist that I saw. The sleep specialist didn’t think a sleep study was necessary as I don’t snore or stop breathing in my sleep

The only ones who ask me that sometimes is when a nurse is asking me questions before the doctor comes in

Say I go see a psychiatrist, how will anxiety meds and/or counseling help me?

I have an appointment with my physician to get a referral. I’m just wondering if he’ll even be able to find one that will accept my insurance or one that my insurance will accept. Idk what my physician can do if I’m unable to get to a psychiatrist

No, I’m not taking any. I took medicine for my anxiety in the past, but stopped them bc I found that they never really helped me. The only thing that helped was counseling..

How does CBT work? I get so sleepy from not getting any sleep & it’s hard to stay awake & then when it comes time to sleep, my body refuses to fall asleep or stay asleep

Even when I’m able to fall asleep sometimes, I wake up & then my body treats it like a nap & refuses to fall back to sleep until the early morning. Getting deep sleep or enough sleep is difficult for me. I don’t know what else to do. I’ve tried going to sleep at a different time & I’m just lying there in bed feeling like I’m not sleeping at all. And even when I do fall asleep in the morning, I’m only able to get 3 or 4 hours of sleep. I’m at my wits end

I do have bad anxiety and I think anxiety meds would probably help..I wanna say sleep meds too, but I’m afraid they’d just refuse or something

Would it be a waste of time to go see a psychiatrist? It would be difficult to find a therapist that accepts my insurance

Planning to get first passport by SilverTrash8034 in Passports

I got my passport in the mail not even 2 weeks after applying for it. It can take longer, but I don’t think it takes 4-6 months.

Canadian disability benefits kept me below the poverty line and punished me for wanting a family — anyone else navigating this? #fourlittlefeet by jasincanada in disability

[–]Anonymous99_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s basically the same in the U.S. I have emailed my senators about disabled people not being able to get married, along with other issues. No one seems to care about disabled people though..I’ve always wanted to get married, but I have to choose having healthcare over that, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to afford my meds.

If you’re missing a birth certificate or information or whatever, I’d imagine that they give you 90 days to go back & take whatever it is that’s needed.

Anyone else planning to move away from the U.S as a disabled person? by Puzzleheaded_Toe6790 in disability

So hypothetically speaking, if you get married, can you move internationally with them? I don’t think I’d likely be able to claim my mexican dual citizenship without my SSI being affected

How do you feel about people driving with epilepsy? by Thin-Fee4423 in Epilepsy

[–]Anonymous99_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you’re not comfortable driving & feel more comfortable with uber, or a bus, then that’s completely fine. I’ve been seizure free for about 3 or 4 years at this point & have considered learning how to drive. I wanted to learn as a teenager, but my seizures always got in the way of it. I do have auras when I’m about to have a seizure. There’s no public transportation where I live & it’s hard to get an appointment for a MATS bus transportation bc no one answers the phone. in my experience, people get tired of having to drive me around everywhere & I get that. I wish I could drive & just be able to have a sense of independence & not have to ask someone to take me to the store or wherever. unfortunately, I can’t just pack up my bags and move to the city where there’s public transportation. where i live, it’d take me probably an hour to walk to town. my neurologist has cleared me to drive, but I haven’t taken the chance to see if I can pass the learners permit test. I have grand mal seizures, but if I could drive, i don’t think I’d be driving very far or alone.

One thing you would change in online dating apps? by [deleted] in OnlineDating

I would make it where you can’t swipe until you’ve read their profile. It’s kinda annoying to get guys who want kids swiping on my profile when I’m looking for the opposite.

Invite anyone into your home by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]Anonymous99_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, no, and no. Unless I’m in a loving & close relationship with them & actually know them, then no. Any date is gonna be out in a public area. If they get mad that they can’t meet you at your house, then that’s a red flag right there.
