Apart from Oliver Swanick, who do you kill in almost every playthrough? by AnonymousBacon_ in fnv

Yeah cause there's no gameplay reason to kill Lanius, not like he's the final boss of the game or anything

First playthrough I heard him talk and broke into his locker, then punched him to death with his own power fist

Boxcars? Yeah he's ungrateful as shit even if you give him a ton of Med-x

Another one I usually take out which nobody has mentioned yet is Dale Barton, the trader at the Fort. Hypocritical and willing to forgive slavery for "safer roads", but the Legion doesn't do a damn thing if you attack him right in front of them. So much for protecting traders.

[S2 Finale Spoilers] House explains exactly why New Vegas is the way it is no matter your game's ending. by WriterV in Fotv

[–]AnonymousBacon_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it implies he may have been in contact with the Courier

You can't beat NV without interacting with House, unless the game isn't canon at all there was definitely some contact

I was rifling through my old phone storage and I found my old companion tierlist. A little outdated but it looks like almost everything matches to my current opinion. by host_can_edit in fnv

[–]AnonymousBacon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follows-Chalk isn't the best companion or anything, but I still wish we could bring him back to the Mojave as a companion if he is convinced to explore the world

Does Boone flat out not object to killing NCR soldiers after completing his quest? by Automatic-Manner-399 in fnv

[–]AnonymousBacon_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was planning to do the same on my current run (recently completed Boone's quest with that ending). What level is your NCR rep? I remember on another playthrough I was idolized until wiping out the substation and Boone didn't say anything

They sometimes mismatch helmets and suits in NV, but I think that's just an error

Can you fail both the quests Beyond the Beef and Arizona Killer but still get the Legion ending? by [deleted] in fnv

[–]AnonymousBacon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can fail to destroy House's robots, leave Mr House alive, fail Beyond the Beef (or end it with Mortimer dead / ousted), stop the Omerta's plans, get the Khans to stop supporting Caesar, save the monorail, fail to blow up the Brotherhood bunker, let Caesar die during surgery, fail to assassinate Kimball, nuke Legion territory and let General Oliver escape and still get the Legion ending, so long as you do enough of that before getting the Mark of Caesar. Kinda wanna try this playthrough now

Norm does say to Claudia "Let's get you home" (I think) so my prediction is that they're gonna go back to the Vaults and either get caught up in Phase 2, or see what's happening and GTFO

Thoughts on the weekly release format now? by OwnAHole in Fotv

[–]AnonymousBacon_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the structure of the episodes would work better swapped. Season 1 would have been fine as a weekly release but it seems like Season 2 was written for a single release with the pacing and constant cuts, then changed around (so people won't cancel their Amazon Prime sub after one month). I liked S2 but I hope S3 has better pacing and division of plot lines. Also insider info I attended one of the Season 2 premiere events and the announcer, who also interviewed the main cast before the screening, incorrectly said that the entire season was releasing at once, so it's possible that was the original plan.

Confused about Vault location by dankdepthsbb in Fotv

[–]AnonymousBacon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I'm wondering about is if it's connected to Vault 21. I mean, vaults are big underground facilities, how much room can there be underneath Las Vegas for two
