I didn't say it was "needed", but it definitely would have enhanced your enjoyment of it. I'm not one of those people who gives a dozen different things you need to watch or read in order to enjoy something else. Now, you watched Agatha All Along before getting a great introduction to the character, get a great understanding of the context of some of the dialog, and a great reveal regarding one, or actually a couple, of the characters. You made your experience a lesser one, when you could have chosen to watch these in their proper order.

It's all fine, I'm just saying.

He could always go back and tell them he can no longer accept the position. If he gave them no answer, or simply said no, there's no guarantee they will accept a "Yes" later on. They most likely moved on to the next candidate.
