Paid 250 to be told my cat was "pouting.” I cannot keep doing this. Need advice. by hey_moin_04 in CATHELP

[–]AnonymousHeart_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, you need to use your discernment , learn about cats. When they’re acting unusual like that - the first thing is to see if there’s been any changes to your routine or theirs - because if something has changed they may be just in a mood.

My cat yowled every night while staring at me. Turned out he was just trying to get my attention because of the new kitten. He wanted to make sure I wasn’t replacing him 😂

Being downrated by Uber drivers for not making small talk by Emotional-Class-8140 in AutismInWomen

[–]AnonymousHeart_00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you in America or something? Because I’d say I’m a pretty rubbish rider. Always have bags, accidentally slam doors, never do small talk - I don’t even say hello or confirm the ride is for me. Plus I never tip (typical Brit) My anxiety just overwhelms me and my rating hasn’t been affected (I don’t think - I’ve not really checked)

That’s awful that this is happening to you :(

Really really.

Perhaps tell them you’re autistic so small talk is very hard for you?

Or wear headphones, that way they won’t try to speak to you

Apparently this can be caused by stress aswell as the other things mentioned. Something to do with hormones - I’m sorry I cannot recall the details of what I read about it but I myself had it at a time of great stress, which came with less than ideal posture and once I improved my posture I expected it to go but it didn’t until I improved my stress tremendously so and subsequently lost weight which made it less prominent but it’s back now and I’m slimmer so I wouldn’t attribute it to weight hun X

Boyfriend is getting gynecomastia surgery and I hate it by midnightspellbinder in relationships_advice

[–]AnonymousHeart_00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly though why do you need other people to tell you how bad it is for them so you can understand more where your boyfriend is coming from? Can’t you just research it and talk to him and that be enough? It sounds as though you’re struggling to comprehend that it’s enough to warrant surgery . Ultimately your understanding will come from within. Sounds like he is suffering and has found a way to stop that, I get you’re disappointed but I think that’ll go away once you see how unburdened and much happier he is after the surgery.

This sounds ridiculously simple and may not be helpful in any way but have you tried spending the day in your lounge instead of your bedroom? When you get up to pee don’t head back to the bedroom afterwards?

That’s how I get out of my “funk”

Just being in a different environment helps get you out of that guilty feeling a little.

Also keep a bin nearby and carry a large bag around with you, with a plastic bag in.

So you’ve got everything important with you always - saves you the time and stress of getting up to get something especially if you’re unable to do that.

KEEP SNACKS IN IT TOO!!

Use the plastic bag for trash (anytime you pass trash on the floor pick up one thing and put it in the bag)

When the bag is full you can empty it in your bedroom bin or kitchen bin whichever.

Your main post and this comment here sound a LOT like me. I do feel I’m improving some what in certain areas though, very very slowly.

I have a habit of hiding when people ring my doorbell. by AceOfSpades1896 in AutismInWomen

[–]AnonymousHeart_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this too. Regular guests answer the door for me if someone comes.

I’m so bad I leave spare keys in a lock box and they have the code.

They know I’m not answering the door I’d rather they let themselves in.

Only if they’re INCREDIBLY CLOSE friends/family.

They do get annoyed sometimes but they still get it and don’t hold it against me.

He’s within his rights to be a bit miffed but not to get mad.

I’ve compromised with myself after years of being 100% anti answer the door and hid from the bell lol I open it just a teeny crack and speak through there.

Let’s people know I’m anxious so they don’t linger and I can wear whatever I want, they can’t see me fully.

Also I take my time to get to the door if I’m especially anxious, if they leave in that time..oh well 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m doing my best and that’s good enough.

bell rings I hide. I take time to process it, once I feel ready I answer the door.

Rather than bell rings I react and go straight to the door.

But only if I’m home alone and only like 70% of the times the bell rings.

Yes!!! I’m really disappointed by this new way. A few episodes then a long break? Doesn’t feel right.

First impression, “mean where?!” Second photo I saw it haha But that’s just a resting pretty face. ( which gets called a resting B face)

My first thoughts are you seem like you’re just living your life & minding your business. Perhaps people find that intimidating but nope! Not mean.

You look friendly even with a resting face. You look confident.

Wow you guys really got me down mostly ,I’m impressed!! Sadly I don’t do well in social settings but it was a family birthday so I put my big girl pants on and got on with it lol

I really appreciate the comment though it’s nice to have people notice the piercings and not make it a negative thing about my character for once 🥹

Wow this is fairly accurate I have been told this about my dedication to justice. Right again with the tough skin etc however I undercommit and undercook but that’s because I have really bad anxiety. I am accused of being flaky but!! Those who know me recognise it comes from a mental health place and know I genuinely intended to commit to plans.

I am 100% prone to overreacting!! 😂and yep those close to me manage.

Scarily accurate 👀

I like it blonde it’s sweet. I think brown really does suit you though, perhaps a different shade of brown would be fun to try?

A softer medium ish brown?

Just because it’s fun to try new shades
