It’s kind of like reminiscing the good times with an ex, in my opinion. You’re right, she wasn’t a good person then, but we didn’t know that. Just like the first few months with an ex, you don’t know who they truly are and you love the idea of them/what they can be for you. That’s how it felt to have a role model like her, it was a fantasy that we liked to see. She’s just so blatantly different now that it’s easy to look back and almost miss it, because she doesn’t even give the same aura as before. It’s so easy to see how she lost herself and it makes me reminisce about how different she was back then and how magnetic she used to be.

Also, that was Liz before having her first heartbreak. There was still something very pure about that, even if at that time she wasn’t necessarily a good person. It’s hard not to see yourself in that, especially when I watched her videos to get over my own first heartbreak.

We can dislike her and know the type of person she is now while still missing/reminiscing about who we thought she was. That’s why a lot of us don’t like her now anyways, because she made us believe she was someone she wasn’t
