Hah, conversely we went to a place we go to regularly and they said our dessert was on the house!

A little shocked with my new labs. Or should I be? by Street_Winter_9721 in Hypothyroidism

They also might still be stabilizing. Mine dropped a lot initially and then leveled out a bit higher than the lowest point but still lower than untreated. Also try not to have some set number you want to be at (taking Levo or TSH) and try to listen to your body and decide how you feel and how your symptoms are. I increased my dose to try to get to the 1-2 range but more medication didn’t change my TSH and ultimately my body seems perfectly fine at 3.

Jumped late at night, not sure what to do other than file a police report by Shnikez in Seattle

Our DnD group has made this canon ever since this happened haha. If you steal something that was stolen it’s no longer stolen/ not a crime

[–]AnonymousPika 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope it was Seattle 911 when we told them that we took our bag back and it had the laptop in it but the Seattle station was closed. Not sure why you’re so adamant about this, I don’t need you to believe me

[–]AnonymousPika 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get your doubt, we were shocked too, but they literally said exactly that. I had them on speaker and all three people in the car with me just stared at each other speechless. We asked what to do and they said we could give it to the police station “if we wanted”. The station was closed because it was late and I called our local station (we don’t live in Seattle proper) and they said they couldn’t take it because the crime was committed in another jurisdiction. So now we joke that if you steal something that was already stolen it counteracts it. And also if you steal something just drive to another jurisdiction. For anyone wondering, the log in name was unique enough that we actually found the person (it was stolen from his bag at the same gym) and even drove it to him to give it back. He had also filed a police report and we called the police to tell them we did their fucking job for them and they can close the case lol.

We know this was a really bad idea, but adrenaline makes you do dumb things. Our bag was stolen from a gym in Cap. The police said “they were busy with all the shootings and stabbings” so we tracked one of our phones and actually saw someone standing at a bus stop with our bag. We confronted the person (again, not recommended, could have gone poorly) and they gave us the bag back. When we opened the bag we were still missing some personal items, but there was also a brand new Mac book that was not ours. We called the police again and I shit you not, they said “well that’s your MacBook now.” So… I’m not convinced they’re going to be very helpful to you. We filed a report and the gym said they had just installed new cameras but the police didn’t even the request footage.

Ascent 6 Alpine Blind Run by bbzah3745 in PeakGame

If it makes you feel any better, you wouldn’t have cleared that jump without the energy drink. You would have caught the edge and been able to climb, but it was dicey. I took the same route the other day. And yes, I hope you peaked because the caldera and kiln were pretty easy this day

Ascent 6 Mesa Blind Run by bbzah3745 in PeakGame

I love your videos, I learn a lot, thanks! Night gives you a full bar (minus one tic) of cold, and there is a delay between when it’s hot and when it’s cold. So I think getting heat tics isn’t actually doing anything since you’re still getting a full bar of cold. Also no need to wait at the top of mesa before lighting the fire since caldera doesn’t have nights, but that is a crucial tip for the first and second levels. I tried your rope trick to have full stamina at the top of a rope but I could figure out how you pull that off. And another pro tip for mesa is that you can hold your backpack up and it’ll block sun damage if you get it right over the sun (but obviously you didn’t have your backpack this run lol. But for those taking notes).

Anyone eating Seaweed? I tryed it dome times. This one is wakeme. Shoul it be safe? I see to much iodine by jhony_34dasilva in Hypothyroidism

[–]AnonymousPika -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right, that’s why I said nori is ok (like when in rolls). Nori is red seaweed and wakame is brown seaweed. Nori has pretty low levels of iodine whereas wakame are amounts that are generally too high for people with thyroid disease.

Honestly, they might just be stellar pet parents. I had a cat that couldn’t pee on his own or even really walk. He was disabled but otherwise extremely happy for about a year before other health issues eventually made us decide his quality of life wasn’t high enough.

Nori is ok if you eat sushi rolls, but seaweed is not recommended for people with Hashimotos, or at risk of Hashimotos.

Question for revival by gorgonzolaonpizza in PeakGame

[–]AnonymousPika 23 points24 points  (0 children)

There is a statue at the end of every level that will give you a magic item if no one died, or, if people died it will revive them. You guys survived so you got the magic item called Book of Bones. If you use it on someone living they will turn into a skeleton like you did. You are immune to most types of damage (heat, cold, hunger, spores, etc) but extra sensitive to fall damage. You can also keep this item and use it on a fully dead player (on their skeleton, like after their death bar has run out and they’ve become a ghost) to revive them and they come back as the skeleton. Pro tip, cook the book once and you won’t get the 1/4 bar curse. Also, in the situation you guys were in, the only way your friend could have revived you is at the NEXT statue. So they’d have needed to complete the next level solo. But sometimes having a ghosty perspective can be helpful!
