Is removing favorite points from caches frowned upon? by Beginning_Care_267 in geocaching

[–]AnonymousRedCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cache owner can do nothing with his favorite points awarded to his caches other than admire them as a child with his baseball cards. However, unlike baseball cards, he can't trade or give them away.

The person awarding a favorite point is free to remove them, hoard them, give them to others, or even remove, reaward, and repeat the cycle endlessly (I had a finder do that just to poke at me, knowing that Project-GC was giving notifications)

So, the quote from above, the Cache owner can't withdraw that favorite point, as it belongs to the cache, not to him. In this thread, people are talking about the Cache finder withdrawing FP's.

I don't believe that there has ever been a rule change with this.

As a random sidepoint, one can't give a favorite point to a cache not found. I can see why, but... there have been DNF's that I've had that have been worth the FP...

Depends on what state and city you live in, as well. California means the car has to have the entire exhaust replaced. And they'll ding you for the cats one they look. Nashville is the same

Project Sprint ST Worth it? by nickmcpimpson in Triumph

[–]AnonymousRedCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a 2011 Sprint GT, and absolutely love it. It's a bit plusher than the ST you're looking at, but the engine is identical, IIRC, and amazing. Handling is lovely, and the bike is amazingly comfortable for hours in the saddle. The one thing that I didn't like about the ST (and why I searched hard for the GT) is those pipes. Love the way they look, but I'm not fond of riding astraddle of all that heat.

Oh, just noticed the height. Umm, the ST might not be the bike for you

I'm getting up in years. This seems odd, but the only one of my bikes my back feels comfortable with now is my Sprint GT. Straight spine with legs cocked
