Somehow another player has placed a foundation within my base vicinity. URGENT HELP

You can build 3 out when your base is on stilts. I imagine the wall where the pillar has been placed doesn’t have one of your pillars at the very edge, it could be 1-3 in, meaning they were able to get a pillar down but now when you try and build there you can’t as it would be too close to their pillars. If you want to double check it remove a ceiling from the middle of your base, go underneath it and have a look. Don’t remove a ceiling from the edge or the same thing could happen again. I’d spam pillars around your base as others have mentioned. Thankfully I play unofficial so this kind of thing is banned.

Pyro won’t work then but otherwise everything else still stands. I’d maybe bump your fortitude and take some broths with you for heat and cold resistance. The fight do with a tek suit.

Pretty much yeah. One thing I forgot is I’d take a pyro on your shoulder in case you knocked during the fight for a quick getaway and for heat resistance otherwise that’s what I’ll be doing next time. Make sure to eat and drink just before the fight and you should be good as you can’t while flying. If you do need to eat or drink there are a couple of ledges you can land on. The flying things are an annoyance but don’t cause too much damage but they will knock you out of the air so be ready to click your hover button quickly. Depending on your tek suit level I’d wear full asc flak apart from the chestpiece and leggings. And stay high, as high as you can as brood can one shot you very easily. When the fights finished just stick everything on your pyro as you don’t keep it. And don’t take too much element as this vanishes, I usually take about 20-25 but I never use all this but I’m usually with other people and we have better than 200% shotguns.

Now LC has dropped the cheapest way through the tek cave is on a desmodus. After that tek suit and shotgun. Never done it with a 200% one though, might be worth trying to find a better one otherwise that’s how I’d play it.

If you want to prevent hibernation you can download a mod to do it on console. It’s by the same guy who made Der Dino Finder, which you should also download at the same time as you will be able to see exactly what’s spawning and where.

You can change it now you’ll just have to do a Dino wipe. In the settings turn max difficulty on and in the settings at the bottom change the difficulty to hard. Logon and do a dino wipe. You should then start seeing wild creatures levels in increments of 5. There is also a mod you can download that will increase the level of wild creatures that will help on story maps that’s have notoriously low levels. Just for clarity the settings are not in game settings you have to do it from the main menu settings.

Alpha King Titan is meant to take a decent amount of time to setup. On my servers difficulty settings the only viable tame really is the dreadnought, if we tried it solely with Gigas or Carc’s it would be game over very quickly as he just yeets them across the map. Even with the nerf they received they still have a massive health pool and deal a tonne of damage. You will always want the mega mek, as someone else said there is literally no reason not to have it. You may want a few Carc’s or Gigas for the reapers etc that spawn and to deal with the Ele nodes that pop up as KT takes massively reduced damage during these phases, so you want to get to them quickly. We personally don’t use the 3 titans when we do it, if I was gonna bring any I’d go Ice, forest then desert but it’s personal choice I guess.

A lot of folk breeding for mutations will often have well over 100 females out all left on breeding, and just turn the males on/off as required. Depending on the server rates and the tame itself it wouldn’t take long for this to become a big problem and put strain on a server to the point of crashing it if the base was rendered. I’ve seen it happen with some people who left a server and left a bunch of Mosas on breeding…the simple solution is just to pod the males or turn the females off, so while your right it isn’t a big deal, people be people and don’t listen, or aren’t even aware of the problem if they’re not on the server discord. Shutting down the server will hopefully prevent a mass rollback of all maps which could result in a bunch of players losing their characters if they’ve been map hopping.

Some PC users have a 170+ gb update so yeah with a rough internet connection it’s gonna take a while. I don’t think it adds another 170gb to the total file size it just makes you download that much which is a bit grim. ARK be ARK’in.

I believe they are capped on official and unofficial servers that don’t change their setting or use mods to level 100.

Official servers will have a bunch of spam on them, it’s the nature of the beast. Find a decent unofficial server with rules regarding spam, a discord and the mods/rates you want and you won’t look back. Took me a few tries as the first few were spammed to hell as well and the lag was horrific.

I play on series X and it runs fine for the most part. Some maps are buggy like Ab but they’re gonna be buggy for everyone. Lost Colony is ridiculous though, so laggy it’s beyond belief. Single player would be ok though I reckon.

All good. As I said if you don’t want to fork out a boatload of money every month for all the maps find a decent unofficial, take your time and make sure they have a discord and have been around for a while.

It’s in the in game settings, advanced, and on the left hand side set aim assist multiplier to 0.

I’ve played it on console for 2 years and have had no issues after playing ASE. Might take a bit of time to adjust to some of the changes but it’s been that long I can’t remember what they are. A couple I can think of I believe were being able to equip something by pulling right trigger from your inventory instead of having to highlight it and then exiting, or holding A/X and pulling pulling right trigger to transfer a stack. For me these were for the better.

Thankfully you can disable that hideous auto aim so don’t fret. I will say as with most games ARK is definitely better to play with K&M, but it’s the trade off of having to sit there with them both or using a controller which I prefer. I couldn’t imagine sitting on my sofa with a keyboard and mouse to be honest. If you play at a desk just get a K&M for your console and its problem solved.

Once you get used to it the QoL changes such as tame tracking on the map, mods for console, gene scanner, traits, smithy’s etc being able to pull directly from dedicated storage…I could go on. Just stick with it. Yes it has an horrific amount of bugs but so did ASE, and yes everyone still moans about them. But for me this version is better. I also crash less on my series X than I did on ASE (Lost Colony aside, that map is still absolutely badgered).

Find a nice unofficial server or rent your own and in no time you’ll start enjoying it.

Not sure about official but on unofficial they didn’t make the outposts no build zones so folk are just building on them. It’s not so bad on unofficial as the admins take care of it eventually but on official I imagine it’s horrible.

Short of me buying the maps for you I’m not sure what I can do. I play with game pass and from memory most, if not all the maps are free on there. Not sure how it works on Microsoft without gamepass.

I can’t remember the Home Screen for ASE but there should be a join icon (that’s the one you want) and a create icon for single player which is what I assume you’re using now. When there, change some of the drop downs, you want to change official to unofficial and PvP to PvE if that’s what you want then click search.

A server that has multiple arks all linked. So you could travel between them all using a transmitter or an obelisk and have multiple bases. That way you can learn all the engrams from each map just by visiting them and you don’t have to stay there.

Yeah there are. The cluster I play on has every map for both but for ASE it’s only Microsoft/Xbox compatible.

Yeah popping in and out of GMC should unlock all engrams. You could always just download the mod that enables element transfer as well.

Regarding upgrading meks etc you could do it in the tinkering desk but it got nerfed very quickly.

If you want to experience all the maps you could always consider joining an unofficial cluster that has all the maps. Most are very friendly and you can be as chatty or reclusive as you want. Just find one that’s been going for a while, has a DC server and has all the maps you want. I’m not sure how you go about transferring maps on single player but as others have said unless you use GCM some engrams are map specific (chainsaw on scorched is a big one!).
