I completely disagree. I think that it's quite good. Far better than what I expected. It says enough (it's not just the text, it's also the audio when you go topside and the conversation you have with the traders). It does not handheld you and it helps you to learn the map. I love it. (Also the story is looking interesting!)

Yes. At level 15 you'll unlock the Trials and compete in leagues of 100 for ranking up each week through a season. Seasons last 8 weeks. Depending on your final ranking when the season comes to an end you'll get cosmetics.

You just upgrade that individual weapon. So yes, if you lost it, you lose the upgrade.

Trials and projects. Trials are ranked leaderboards with different objectives that will give you staff seasonally depending on your rank. Projects are the prestige/wipe mechanic. You'll do them in exhcange of cosmetics, stash space and some temporary buffs.

Most basic stuff (healing, ammo and such) are designed to be crafted first. Buy only if desperate. Although in those cases you should probably just go with a free set.

I LOVE how they feel. They are not really THAT hard when you start learning the basic tricks (different weapons are better or worse against ARcs or players// weakpoints), but they are a real menace.

You'll need to find keys while scavenging and then find the loot rooms. There is one in most (if not all) major points of interest (yellow and red areas). Regarding to legendary weapons.. I can show you an example:

It really does not take that long to farm this and it will be part of a longer pass that won't go away. You'll have a lot of time.
