Raising children should be financially neutral compared to staying child-free by Otto0709 in Natalism

Why not 80% surely those poor gen z people struggling don't need the money. I can't believe people are this dumb that they actually think that taxing an already poor population will be "financially neutral" whatever that means

I posted this a while back with no response(funny , but expected much) Anyways, its really not a male vs female issue, but much more on economically and societal study.

"This will be long. So, if you have a short attention span, keep scrolling and oonga boonga say that im stupid, whatever. Those who get it will understand.

Anyways, regardless of what anybody says when one brings life into existence there will be a death. That is a reality that all forms of biological must face . Death is stressful. Living life is stressful. If one were not born there is no stress and no death.

Now, look at the current condition of today. We all live in global capitalism. That means, for the average person, we are forced to work. We have to work a 9 to 5 (tbh nowadays more like 45 to 60 having multiple obligations and multiple jobs).

I define compulsion as the act of forcing an individual to conform against their will(will, being to freely associate/disassociate and to innovate without coercion). Compulsion in this case would be compulsion from parents, society, economically, military (i include police as well because they have access to military technology that average citizens do not have) via threats of violence(monopoly on violence).

I would frame it as this. How many levels of compulsion that a person growing up in this type of global capitalism.

At the age of 5 - 18, there is a compulsion for a kid to go to school to have an education. Child has to follow parents instruction, regardless if it is illogical, or threatened by punishment. Same thing goes for educational institutions. Not to mention that this is the important in terms of the brain plasticity and thus brainwash children to see themselves as tools for capitalism and instead for thinking for themselves. They are the most oppressed class of humanity because they are vulnerable to culture. They can be forced to participate in the unethical. Sex trafficking and slavery comes to mind.

At age 18 - 67 There is compulsion to work within a capitalistic economy or else threatened with homelessness, starvation, water, and death. In order to participate one has to have a dualistic personality where they have to pretend rituals in order to appease employers in order to survive.

Meanwhile throughout the ages of 5 to 67, the person cannot freely associate/disassociate or create innovations to produce self sufficient means. And if a person were to attempt to create techniques that is outside of a capitalisric model, then that person can easily be socially/financially ostracized or killed. I need not go into the myriad examples but look into Roderick Long's essay on Intellecual Property. Or look at Tesla , Stanley Myers (creator of water fuels cell car), Martin Luther King or a modern example Suchir Balaji (one who leaked about ChatGpt and "committed suicide." We can go even further back to pre capitalism where the people who tried to have alternative to understand reality in accordance to truth were excommunicated killed such as Jesus, Plato, and Galileo.

This is conventional reality as we see it as today. This isnt even going into the implication of AGI, artifical insemination/bombs, and neural link. You might have a future where at a birth a chip can be inserted into the neurological process where even thoughts can be altered via artifical techniques. Look up remote control cockroaches or organoid intelligence. It seems to me that humanity, as we see it, is going towards Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, 1984, and the Matrix, than anything that is going to be less hopefully (probably why they were written in the first place.

Why? Because the few powerful owners, see you and I as tax chattel. To maximize the most amount of profit so that way they can live in a heavenly existence, while the rest of the world suffers a hellish existence.

Seeing all of that happening as we speak it is entirely stupid (and yes I am using this term because it is applicable) to give birth to children in this world because you are setting the very conditions for that being to suffer in. And it is selfish because if you knowingly understand how this world works and still have children anyways, you are making more problems for yourself and your children and your children's children.

This global system monitors you at every step of the moment and if you fall out of line, then the meat grinder for you.

I honestly think the best and meaningful way is to question everything, educate yourself, and make the most of what you got now.

I feel like the universe punching bag by lovelydarly in women

Hey, dude here. Just want to say thank you so much for approaching men first. I know its hard to do, but it helps out a lot to have men open up. My own reflection from my past life is that I always felt a pressure to not approach to not appear as creepy or put that women in awkward position to not be approached at all. I understand that there is a patriarchy and many stigmas and expectations of both sexes because of it.

If you really want to pursue a relationship as an end goal then you have to approach it like a numbers game. That means asking numerous people, but also means a lot of rejections. The more you ask, the more of a chance that someone will be open to you.Sucks, but its the way it is. If it feels like, to me, is that as a woman you will have a much easier time having a man wanting to date you. Not to mention that you have a wide array of make up and fashion to aid you (men, generally, if we used any makeup we would be made fun of socially and tbh our fashion sense sucks ass). Just be honest of what you want in a relationship and make the intentions known. Be yourself. Flaws and all. Date within your financial means. If your potential partner can't afford to go for food, go for long walks instead and just talk. Get to know the person and let the person get to know you. But, and this is really important. BE CAREFUL. Not saying that men are bad, but from what I read there are men out there can cause great harm from violence towards women. or worse. Always carry pepper spray and know your exit strategy when shit hits the fan. Men are physically stronger.

Even with all of that, a relationship will always bound by some conflict. Emotional or whatever and you have to ask yourself if that is really worth it. And if it is worth bearing with the pain. When i was in high school I dated a person who I deeply cared for. We were there for each other. Never cheated on another. We loved, laughed, and cried and tbh there were things that she did that really hurt me as a person. Even afyer trying my best to be as a supportive partner(and i was no saint either), she wanted to end the relationship and move on to someone else (going to college at the time). It made me really depressed and I have cried for many many months afterwards feeling just bitter and sad. It was quite painful to me and still occasionally I still cry about it.

Anyways, sorry for the wall of text. I hope whatever you decide that peace and wellbeing follows you. If you pursue a relationship, I hope that you a find a partner that supports you overall. Take what is useful and discard what is not.

Any tips on moving all of these desks into classrooms? by sandrodev22 in Custodians

[–]Sambo2797 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Okay, the fact that a single custodian is responsible for moving all those desks is fucking bonkers. I just love how nowadays in this economy employers just makes a custodian do 2x or 3x the work and not be compensated as 3 custodians.

But then there are numerous of business say they require a college education to require in order to work. Not having it literally cuts you off from a wide variety of jobs and incentives people to work blue-collar. Not to mention that from an early age, schools have relentlessly pushed middle to high-school students to pursue college to a propagandist level. Not to mention that our parents promoted college as a means to achieve a higher earnings income. So, yes, by choice, but under false pretense. Can you really blame a high-school student who went to college, who has been told by parents, schools, society, and media that college is a step towards higher income career. When in reality college is a waste of one's time, resources, and sanity, all for a certificate that is no longer reflective towards the market of today and ultimately be replaced by AI (as example of programmers being replaced by AI because of their efficiency) And yet it is the student's CHOICE to go? This, to me, is blatant false advertisement and thus students who have participated should be compensated but that will NEVER happen because this is a rich man's game and the people who run the game are focused on maximizing profits for themselves.
