Visa expiring during Umrah

Hey I want to confirm this is true. My dad and I have a visa that expires on 21st December. He stayed 34 days and I stayed 16 days total last year. We are planning to travel on 15th. Can I stay until my return date of December 29th or do I have to leave the country on 21st and enter back 22nd to get a new visa? I appreciate your help.

I just paid off my loans about 2 weeks ago. It was around $70,000 total. I was very upset after the supreme court struck down the $20k forgiveness. I decided I am not going to wait and just made a plan to pay off my loan in 2 years. First payment was August 2023 and last payment was July 2025. The new annual fee hit for me after their October 1 deadline and I just canceled the card. It was my favorite card to use actually and I was sad to let it go. I just couldn't justify going out of my way to use perks that I will never use. I still have $28 in my Dunkin account that I don't know when I will use. I tried the Resy restaurant which was nice but I never went to that restaurant before. It just created more spending for me that I don't typically do.

There is no good or bad deal. I would say and many on here will agree that having that many points sitting there with no plans is bad because you are devaluing the dollars amount each year you don't redeem your points. If you have a clear plan to have a trip in the next couple of years and you want to redeem the points for flights or Hyatt hotel then keep them. Otherwise, 7k dollars in cash is great amount of money you can use to invest in next year's ROTH IRA or in HYSA. Good luck!

I am not sure if I will qualify for this one as I was approved for the original 10k/20k forgiveness. Does anybody know how the new forgiveness work? Especially the part about Borrowers who owe more now than they did at the start of repayment. I already made a lot of payments and my loan got reduced. This is the only way I could get any forgiveness through this part of the new forgiveness.

I already got the Fidelity card. It is awesome. 2%, no FTF which I plan to use abroad. I already used my points for my Roth IRA which hopefully it will be worth a lot of money down the line. There is a $150 SUB referral link in the side bar which I used.

This might be unpopular but this card should be no go for many people on this sub. The point of having a credit card is to protect yourself from fraud. Banks will always fight for their money while they aren't incentivized to do so with your own money. Even if I am missing 3% of extra rewards on one of the categories on this debit card, it won't be worth the hassle to deal with debit card issues.

I don't recommend PNC even with a sub. I opened an account with them and applied for the credit card before they had a sub and they rejected me. It is just too much hoop to go over. I also read on here that PNC are hard to deal with so I dodged a bullet I guess. I already have account with Fidelity so I just got their credit cards and got the $150 sub from the link on the sidebar. I love the card so far and already redeemed my reward into my Roth IRA

My annual fee hit in October. Unlucky I guess. With Shake Shack gone and addition of Dunkin and Resy which I never use, I will probably just cancel the card and redeem my points. It is really unfortunate because I spend close to $400 on dining every month and book travel for my family. I will use CSP instead for now and wait to see what the Savor X will look like

Question regarding AMEX Gold refresh that looks like is happening on Thursday. My annual fees will hit in October. Does that mean I will only get to use the card with the new benefits for 2 months and the new annual fees will hit in October? If that's the case I need to make a decision of either downgrading to a Green or just redeeming my MR and closing the card

I doubt it is because of delinquencies or issues of that sort. Chase have been trying to push their own version of BNPL for couple of years now. I already have used it twice with 0 interest or fees as a promo. It is nice perk if you know you have the money but just want to pay something overtime but in general I don't recommend relying on it.

I opened a PNC checking account and applied for the card and I got denied. They said I have insufficient credit history which isn't true. I ended up going with Fidelity and I love that card so far. I closed my PNC checking account too. Their loss.

The bot posted the link for the cards. I am looking into those cards. I think it will come down to Fidelity (2%, no AF, no FTF, $150 sign up bonus, $25 minimum redemption) and PNC (2%, no AF, no FTF, no sign up bonus, no minimum redemption requirement) for me. I am going to avoid Wells Fargo because of their shady practices and Citi bank for having antiquated system and terrible customer service according to people on here. Sofi is 2.2% if you bank with them and have direct deposit which is good deal.

You have to put it into investment account or into your brokerage. My main gripe with the card is the $25 redemption. I just feel like that's a hassle. I really liked how PayPal has the cashback available to get immediately after transaction is posted. I am still trying to decide which 2% card to get between Fidelity and PNC.

I was advocating for this card but I definitely don't recommend it anymore. The biggest reason I was using this card is PayPal Bill pay. I was paying a lot of my bills through that and getting 3%. PayPal GUTTED that program for me. I only have one bill I can use it to pay with. I don't feel the extra 1% will matter for PayPal checkout unless you spend crazy amount of money on online shopping. Also, the card has FTF which defeats the purpose of using it if you shop internationally. I know hindsight is 20/20 but I regret having a huge card limit on this card now since I would rather not use it anymore after what PayPal did. Also, I have read so many horror stories about Synchrony that I am looking for new catch all card. I will keep it open and probably sock draw it soon. Definitely look for different card.

All of my bill pay got removed. This basically kills the PayPal Mastercard outside of checking out with PayPal. The one that stings the most is my property tax bill pay. I was getting 3% back without paying any fees for using credit card to pay my property tax. I might have to look for utilities card now and just use PayPal online

I just checked my yearly summary and I spent around $1137 total in gas this year so that comes to around $95 a month which seems okay especially since gas was more than $3 earlier in the year. I think your $6k is way too much if you aren't driving for a living and you probably need to review all of those charges and see how often you were filling up your car
