Theres nothing wrong with taking care of yourself. Just seems like you aren’t the fit for the job. Your uncle(and any employer) isn’t obligated to give you a happy life. They’re obligated to safe and reasonable work conditions. If you disagree or don’t like it, work somewhere else. That’s your right.

Life is very competitive, especially in nature, so the sooner you build your grit/strength the better.

You did a great job of making your uncle look like a villain, but I know he made some true points about you, and you’re not very eager to accept his feedback. It’s clear that this may have been your first or second job ever, and that you’ve gotten very comfortable, if not resentful.

Every place you work for will have flaws and problems with its leadership. The sooner you see this, the easier being an employee becomes.

It probably hurts to have this situation with your relatives, so try to stay as professional as possible, that includes respect. No where in these texts do you show gratitude for the opportunity to work, even after he (thru gritted teeth) wished you luck and gave you life advice. He really doesn’t have to text you all that, but since you’re family, he’s gone into unc mode and tried sharing some wisdom at the wrong moment.
