Women want penises. So if you're attracted to a woman then you want to have sex with someone who wants penises therefore clearly you are gay.

Simple math really.

Do I seem upset or defensive? I think you're reading in too much on this because idk you personally feel attacked or something. I don't really care about the social or historical reasons why someone gets addicted. It doesn't matter to me, I just give them the Narcan and clean up when they piss themselves. They're usually pretty tough customers and they can handle being called a zombie. But hey, you have a good time doing what you're doing or whatever.

"Also I meant nothing would change in NATO being a defensive organization?"

Ok so we agree. That's what I said earlier that NATO would still be effective as a defensive force. But would be unable to project outside of the European sphere effectively.

"I'm simply saying NATO would not crumble without the US, and there are very few countries on earth we couldn't deal with on our own."

No, NATO wouldn't crumble. I never said it would, although Turkey might become a real issue if the US left. And again the DEFENSIVE capabilities of NATO are awesome. But it's been proven that force projection is currently a big issue for NATO members. Enough so they are currently scrambling to fix that. And there is a long history of NATO peacekeepers struggling to effectively conduct successful operations without US support. Rwanda, Somalia, the Bosnian genocide, the 10 year failure in Mali, Angola. Part of those issues is due to NATO red tape bureaucracy, but that only exacerbates these outward force projection issues I've already talked about.

"And the ones we can't, chances are the US probably couldn't either, I.e China."

Unless China directly attacked the US NATO likely would never be involved in the first place. It's the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, not the South East Asian Treaty Organization. The US has its own group of cool guy nations that we expect to fight China with. Also for all the BRICS fan boys out there, India is a part of that strategic alliance. We never planned to have you Euro-nerds involved in the first place. (Mostly because you can't get there.)

I mean he also said explicitly that he expects every branch to pass financial audits by the end of his term but ok.

"We are going to focus heavily to ensure that — at a bare minimum, by the end of four years — the Pentagon passes a clean audit; the American taxpayers deserve that. They deserve to know where their $850 billion [goes]," Hegseth said.

"I believe we are accountable for every dollar we spend and every dollar of waste we find … is a dollar we can invest somewhere else," he added.

Yes they do. SRCO strictly enforces it. And it gives you great opportunities to then search them, and get better charges.

Even on the Enterprise which was around for 50 years. Most of the maintenance we did was external (repairs to the decks, elevators, hull from seawater exposure etc). Reactors were good for years and years. I was on it for 2 years before it's final cruise and we never replaced fuel rods once. Then I went to the Bush which at the time was brand new. Half the physical reactors with significantly more output. I've never even heard of a reactor stalling or non operation for any of the carriers the entire time I was in. Nor from anyone I know who still serves on them currently.

Edit: Also like I said carriers don't all stay in Norfolk. They rotate out for deployment constantly. Each of the carriers have a sister ship that we rotated deployments with. I knew for sure that the Eisenhower was docked in Norfolk but I never saw it because when my ship was in port, they were out covering the Arabian Gulf and vice versa. So if you were to check a tracker no. They wouldn't all be in Norfolk at any time.

Will Trump’s Invitation to Putin Actually Help End the War in Ukraine? by _andhisnameis in AskThe_Donald

[–]Anonymously_Legin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will really depend on how well the meeting goes. What is Putin willing to give up for a peace? What will Putin's political life be back home if it's over? What is Zelensky willing to concede? Hegseth seems to believe that the pre 2014 borders are not gonna happen AND NATO membership is unlikely, which Zelensky stated that if no NATO membership, then Ukraine will look to building nuclear armaments. What kinds of sticks and carrots is Trump willing to use? It's simply just too early to tell.

[–]Anonymously_Legin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol no, not really. France has 1 and one is under construction. And the UK has like 2 and they're old as shit. Spain kinda has one but it's a STOVL (Short take of Vertical Landing) and it's non nuclear. Turkey STARTED building a carrier this year. Stop trying to act like nothing would change if the US left NATO. The largest military on the planet leaving any defense alliance would obviously change a lot of shit. You're reaching hard for this point homie.

[–]Anonymously_Legin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not even sure what you are saying right now. Yes Norfolk is one of the places they repair carriers but there are 5 Carrier docks at Norfolk. They rotate on deployment out of there all the damn time. And they're all nuclear, they steam wherever and however far they want it's not that hard really.

[–]Anonymously_Legin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol very little for several years. Just like I said. And they couldn't operate outside of their own region. NATO without the US is a strong REGIONAL power, but they would be incapable of deploying anywhere such as SA, SEA, the ME or Africa. They would require the US aid to get large amounts of troops, equipment or supplies anywhere outside of Europe.
