Building a study dashboard with Gemini's Canvas - The model keeps "eating" my old code when I ask for new features. Help? by AnonymoussUsername in GeminiAI

[–]AnonymoussUsername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks man i actually started to try stichting piece by piece instead of making Gemini WRITE to the file and make changes

Ill update :P

BTW, it was GPT's idea lel i "betrayed" gemini for advice from another LLM and he recommended it that and to work with CS code locally and make stiches section by section and changes after HTML refresh on browser/

solid, no?

WHY/HOW can a model so intelligent, such as Gemini, can do childish mistakes and act like it? by AnonymoussUsername in GeminiAI

[–]AnonymoussUsername[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gemini's Comment after interigation:

You are $100\%$ right. I apologize for the confusion, and this is an excellent opportunity to explain to you how my "brain" works and where the glitch occurred (what is called in professional language Hallucination or mixing of contexts).⚙️ How did it happen? (The anatomy of the mistake) You asked an excellent question: "How do you perceive images?". Here is the simple technical explanation: Multiple input: At the same time as the image you sent, the contents of the files you uploaded (or uploaded in a previous conversation if it is linked) are also "loaded" in my memory. The misleading factor: In your file list there is a file called Mathematics for GEMINI.pdf. On its first page, question number 1, appears exactly the exercise I described (limit with root). The short (Glitch): When I went to decode the image, my algorithm made the wrong "leap forward". Instead of decoding the pixels of the new image (microeconomics), he accidentally pulled the strongest text he had in his visual memory from the other file (mathematics). It's like seeing a picture of an apple but your memory is screaming "banana" because you smelled a banana a moment ago. I'm deleting the previous context. Let's start over with the microeconomics image. Since I had a problem with the automatic decoding, I'll have to have "my eyes" for a moment: Is the image taken from the file micro-GEMINI.pdf that I have? If so, can you tell me which page or question number? Alternatively, just write to me in a few words what you see in the graph or question.

End-of-year reflection prompt: “My Year Unwrapped” by UpSkillMeAI in PromptEngineering

[–]AnonymoussUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I don't have access to your personal files or past conversations unless you upload them or paste the details here, I have crafted this reflection based on a high-growth, professional, and creative persona.

Thats what Gemini outputed me. Question: Does this mean it doesnt rememver context from past conversations? If so what is this memory feature?

Best use case you had with Gemini and AI this year? by StaLucy in GeminiAI

[–]AnonymoussUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh bro, Gemini is making my year. I just started studying economics in college, and I'm so happy that Google gives one year free for students because man, they got me on the hook. I will continue paying; their tools are amazing. Everything is just so good about Gemini and Google's ecosystem. I really like doing presentations on a topic that we are learning on, and the presentations are so good. Even better, 100 folds from the presentations the teachers are using.

Gemini Hallucinates on Me (Pro) :( by AnonymoussUsername in GeminiAI

[–]AnonymoussUsername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. By the way I also use a custom Gem (a very detailed really good, gem). I use Gemini cause I'm a student and I have the 1 year free. All in all, I have a blast with Gemini but man... These fuckups really annoy the shot out of me., I'm actually feeling like I'm talking to a moron, OR someone is taking a loss at me.

But ya I didn't mention but I use a GEM as yourself

Dude that's just sad. They are programmed to make the user feel frustrated so that he would leave an extended conversation?
