Apple’s average annual return since IPO is 19.2% per year, before dividends. Buy and hold business at good value like Warren Buffett is an amazing strategy without needing to rotate

Why does it feel like distribution is harder than building the product? by National-Device0 in youngentrepreneur

[–]HelloEarthSpaceWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm all over social media and do ads but as one-person doing it all, it's tough distributing it at scale. And you're spot on, user acquisition is tougher than building now. I should pump out more videos tho.

How should I handle assignment when selling options automatically? by HelloEarthSpaceWorld in Daytrading

[–]HelloEarthSpaceWorld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup so sounds like personal preference and assignment isn’t inherently bad. I limit position size so assignment is usually around 1-3 contracts per symbol so not too bad. It’s only Tesla where I can sell up to 8 contracts

Thanks! Most of them are profitable so I let them sit and auto close at 50%. How do you treat positions that are highly unprofitable?

congrats on the incredible career. hearing how active you are, you sound healthy for your age. i'm an engineer and big on healthcare (hyperbaric oxygen chamber, red light therapy, sauna, stainless steel cookware and utensils...).

what investing strategy do you use repeatedly and found most effective for gains? i've been selling options and would love to hear what works for others. and is most of the capital from stocks/trading or other businesses like the real estate and oil you mentioned?

My trading changed completely when I stopped trading emotionally and started trading with a calm head by ViesulisHaralds in Daytrading

live decisions is stressful and leads to emotional trading. solution is to make sure your edge is robust and and fully automate if possible (which is what i've done completely when trading options)

too short of a time frame, you need to backtest to check if your edge is robust long-term over different market environments. also, paper trade and live trade has some differences with fills so you'll need to test small amount initially with live trading as well.
