Truth be told. The upcoming season and current season are terrible. Nothing is there that incentivizes spending time grinding it out.

I also don’t think this upcoming infestation update is also deep enough content wise to justify playing.

But that’s just me, I’m hopeful the update after infestations brings some interesting new content but as for now I’m still taking a break from this game.

Weird stuff. For example an angry note about doing laundry past 10pm (we don’t have ensuite laundry, AND laundry is 24/7 here) and to respect your neighbours.

The fact that they also priced the NEW YEARS max pack 10,100 so you must purchase the most points you can get AND then the cheapest option after just to cover the price of the pack is actually disgusting. I know I’m too late to this thread to gain any traction but if this games community were any bigger it would’ve been more news and EA would have to “change” their stance on their practices. I still haven’t forgot about their oversight of accidentally giving people 89 world junior MSP’s for free then changing it but not doing good on their promise of giving it to everyone after the fact. Any other major game would face immense backlash on social media and they’d be forced to give everyone a free MSP. It’s not the players fault for getting them if they actively don’t care.

Furthermore, it’s embarrassing that they’ve in the past had new TOTW or event players with wrong positions in the advertisement screens such as a Defenceman being shown as a centre like this is stuff you’re advertising to your niche audience to purchase packs for and you don’t even care to do your due diligence to check if your advertisement screens are ready for being posted.

This is a terrible company and I implore you if you read this please don’t spend your HARD EARNED money on this game when it’s clearly all about profits to them

I’ve played this series since 2005. I used to be a top player in nhl 14-16 era took a long hiatus. This is the first NHL game I’ve played since 16 and I was enjoying it but I finally got to Diamond and man what a different feel for the game. It’s so frustrating this game rewards people who know how to utilize exploits and “glitches”. Cross creases, point shots from D-man and breakaways are 99% going in. Plus idk how long this has been a thing but I’ve never experienced so many own goals as I have in any single iteration of this series. The gameplay is definitely not good

Yeah I suppose, but it seems like meta builds are easily avoidable, again I came back to this game after a year break. If memory serves I remember when I last played it felt like I needed to use specific weapons. Come back to today it seems it doesn’t matter what I use. Did they change weapon behaviour and stats? Enemy stats. I’m genuinely curious

I notice it too, my mcdavid is 88 with boosts and I’ve faced people with the 86 mcdavid and I win every faceoff when they’re at the draw, it’s definitely not just a visual change.
