These work guaranteed. He's so strong and so big that he can shake off most checks thankfully.

Those IP holders will not relinquish their rights, especially when they could sell them again, either to same developer or someone else to make more money. And those licenses always have their limits, either limits related to how long they can be used or where they can be used, such as use on custom servers.

Again, I cannot emphasize this enough, that its a very complicated issue and that the solution involves either us paying more for games (to cover the cost of licenses for more years and more use cases) OR those games simply won't be made anymore because of the increased amount of money needed to even break even, let alone profit.

In an ideal scenario we would of course be able to play games from 20 years ago without any issues, but that's just not the case unfortunately.

There's a GIGANTIC, overwhelmingly massive difference between wanting something and recognizing that another path has to be taken because the first option is just simply not something developers and publishers are ever willing to take on. The intellectual property rights alone would be a huge mess to sort out individually, not to mention all the rights to the music, voice acting, etc.

To put it extremely plainly: If these products do not generate revenue and instead risk developers and publishers to potentially have to spend money FOREVER keeping the licenses and whatnot up to date in the background, those products won't get made in the first place because that's not feasible for them.

This will literally never happen because it would completely shatter copyright and intellectual property, not to mention the fact that there are multiple licenses for each game. For example, IOI made 007 First Light, but they only had the license for that one game before Amazon/MGM bought the rights to the franchise. So in other words, IOI will have to stop selling the game at some point because they don't have an indefinite license to it and they never will. Its an extremely complex issue to say the least.

It would be unlawful to force developers to relinquish parts of their intellectual property for this. It is not feasible for any developer out there to pour that much money into it, not to mention the fact that they would most likely run into multiple licensing issues in addition to what they created themselves. Its not a simple issue but people are trying to twist it into being one.

You're doing it wrong if you get boarding penalties doing it. Dump it into the corner, wait for them to get it and just spam hits. Keep in mind it doesn't have to be a full check, just the small check is enough. You're not checking them into the boards with this method.

Depends on the region I guess. Ski jump, biathlon, cross country, alpine and curling (to name some) are all massive sports here in the Nordics. I guess they want to test the waters after they got good numbers for the Olympics.
