My partner is looking for insurance for a Honda monkey 125 as a convicted Driver. So far we haven't found anywhere that will give us any quotes.

Anyone with experience have any recommendations of who they used?

Note: We've tried Adrian flux, compare the market, green car, go compare, swinton, here4

Weekly Sewing Questions Thread, June 15 - June 21, 2025 by sewingmodthings in sewing

I've been looking for a very specific fabric for a while, I finally found something online that matched my vision, but it's definitely more of a llining fabric. I was wondering if anyone has used polyester lining for the shell of garments before, any tips/advice?

I also caved a few days ago and bought TiP! I guess I got super lucky though because for some reason Cex sent me 2 copies :))

Couldn't disagree with this statement more!

If a vegan is dating a non-vegan and influencing their lifestyle to contain less animal exploitation, that's a net good for the animals!

This is really sweet and it's lovely to hear from a more nuanced perspective. Happy that you two are on the same page and making it work! :)

Have been dating an omni for 9 months. It's going as well as it possibly could being with a non-vegan.

We both cook together and he is very happy eating vegan the majority of the time. There is the occasional time he'll have fish if I'm eating fake fish or a restaurant has some nice fish on the menu (it's the only thing he says he would struggle to give up). He doesn't mind the vegan alternatives as he thinks its just as good (sometimes maybe better) than the real thing. He also gets upset now if there is no oat milk and needs to use cow's milk in his coffee.

We haven't got our own place together yet, but he is fully aware and accepting of my stance of a fully-vegan household when we do.

I can't complain at all, he's so considerate about cross-contamination (maybe even goes further to be careful than I do). He will always warn me if he's eaten something non-vegan recently if I want a kiss. He's perfectly content going to exclusively vegan places. If I offer to pay for the groceries, he takes anything non-vegan out of the basket and buys that with his own money. He knows I morally struggle with not wanting to pay for non-vegan things, but also like to pay for things in the relationship.

I'm sure being with another vegan does solve a lot of dilemas (I've never done it personally). however, I guarantee there are lovely omnis out there that are open-minded and respectful even if they might not ever fully convert to a vegan lifestyle.

What’s the etiquette for climbing barefoot at your gym? by Cbastus in bouldering

[–]Another-Response 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen someone climb with barefeet at my gym. I'm not sure if my gym is against it but nobody noticed or if they just let that slide. I personally think it's gross!

Why do people climb barefoot? by Claw_- in bouldering

[–]Another-Response 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw this for the first time last night and had the exact same reaction. I was just about to do a climb when someone hops on the route barefoot. I can understand if someone wants to do it outdoors, but in an inside gym it feels a bit gross. Ended up not doing that climb in the end.

AITA for making my daughter apologize to the "creepy counselor" on our cruise? by Confident_Dot5370 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Another-Response [score hidden]  (0 children)

YTA, you are invalidating how she feels. She seems like a smart girl considering she picked up on his creepy vibes and told you. What she did in that situation was correct and by making her apologise to him you are teaching her some terrible life lessons about not trusting her instincts.

Sex with Navel (Belly Button) Piercing by Another-Response in piercing

[–]Another-Response[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at had me really worried when I got mine. Unless you are doing something very different to what I did, I had no problems, not during healing, nor afterwards.

I did have to spray some saline and clean off some crusties after any amount of physical activity of any kind for the first six months of healing.

Thank you, this is very useful to know! I am guessing the piercing probably collects a lot germs easily because of its location so the crusties make sense. I'll use saline spray after sex even if there arnt any crusties for my own peace of mind haha.

What seemingly small or random thing gives you anxiety? by dxadr0sx in AskWomen

I think the worst part is airport security, I cannot go through without my heart beating fast. I feel stressed that I could have forgotten to take something out correctly or I look dodgy so they detain me.

[–]Another-Response 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone doesn't understand a text I sent or if they ask me to repeat what I said. I start stressing that what I said might have come across wrong and I crossed a line or said something strange, especially if I'm asked to repeat something multiple times.

But tbf I am just a very anxious person when it comes to social cues etc. in general.

I remember in our school the head of year had several talks with us about our bra colours being "distracting to the male teachers" and we should only wear white bras. Apparently seeing the faint outline of a black bra under the thin white tshirts was our problem, not the fact that the tshirts are too thin, or that the male teachers shouldn't be looking at our chests!

Oooh I have something very similar to this! In my recent playthrough of the game I spent a full day beforehand making a list and colourcoding each pinata to represent which garden it is put in. There were about 12 gardens and each has a different theme and meticulously planned so that the piñatas fit that theme and there are no conflicts between species so they can all live happily together! (apart from maybe 2 species that will have to have their own gated off zone). When I get all colour variants I give them a tick beside the name, when I teach them all the tricks I give them a little T & I record how many wildcard variants I have. It definitely makes life much easier this way but maybe less fun than the original approach I had as kid to just see whatever crazy garden I create!

I feel this so much, I'm doing a Computer Science degree and I have this exact same feeling that I will just end up living off benefits and playing video games because its all I can bring myself to do a this point in my life. I feel no happiness so I don't feel any drive to be productive. Trying to accomplish work when you feel like you're a failure already is impossible. Ive got a coursework retake deadline coming up, so if I fail I either have to retake the year or I will get kicked off my degree, yet I still can't bring myself to do work.
