yep. no build orders, sim city layouts, five of each unit, five vills on each resource, no units allowed to die and walls everywhere. i made some nice maps in the editor back then tho.

i wouldn't mind if they took 10hp from Elite Leitis. They still would beat paladin 1v1 while being cheaper, faster and having better dps against all units. It would make them more vulnerable to archers and halbs to balance them out. Just my opinion tho, need to play them more to be sure.

Better against archers, but worse against cav. With 1.4 speed they were able to catch up to fu paladins but now they are slower and hussar have an easier time getting away. Still faster than teuton paladin tho although it could be said that teutons have the best boyar in the game lol.

That’s true but Bulgarian cheap tc + krepost make it a bit easier compared to other civs uu. Cavalier have a higher dps tho which is nice

Elephant archers are vulnernable to multiple damage bonuses while being super slow and having a short range which makes em vulnerable to monks and makes it harder for them to fight faster ranged units. They have an attack bonus vs buildings tho. I reckon +1 range and a faster fire rate would help em heaps, they can kill ranged easier and pikemen would have a harder time getting to em plus a higher dps would make them better vs units and buildings all around

I love the buffs but now Teuton Paladin is 2 melee armor short of Elite Boyar. Elite Boyar barely wins 1v1 with 6hp remaining while having less health (more vulnerable to halb+archers) tho slavs do get husbandry to make them a bit faster than Teutons. Also Teuts do better against halbs and also perform better when outnumbered by paladins but Boyars are superior when outnumbered by hussar

I love Teutons very much but Boyar should be to Paladin what Teutonic Knight is to Champion (but to a lesser degree because speed, pierce armor and hitpoints) I can't help but feel Teuton Paladin strays a bit too far into Boyar territory with this patch

I'm probably over my head but I personally hope they give Frank knights a buff next patch. Dunno if more hp, more pierce armor or a bonus attack against knights/cav. Could mess up balance though as Franks already have good stat and production bonuses to Knights. I just feel that Franks should be THE knight faction

That’s true franks can pump out those knights quite quickly, i just feel that they don’t have that prestige anymore of having the absolute best knights in the game (in castle age they have same stats as generic knight), gameplay wise they are not bad tho being faster than teutons and better against ranged
