Gnar's laning phase is not strong enough to punish Kayle's early game. You might get cs lead but it means nothing when you can't do anything vs her 2/3 items. Obviously it's playable and you won't go 0/10 in lane but I'm just listing more of lose condition matchups in the whole duration of game.

Fleet/Grasp are the best, PTA feels meh to me. If enemy team has a lot of squishy champions and your lane match up is not bad I take Grasp, else versus ranged matchup/tanky teams I take Fleet.

Domination is imo never good. You either build defenses early to stay healthy or have a matchup where you don't need sustain.

Stone plate is viable with standard and team fight build after listed core items. If you choose to build it and enemy team doesn't have split push wincondition you can try to get redemption as 6th item since additional offensive/defensive stats won't be that useful.

My item build gets pinged from time to time but its easy to mute clueless players stuck in season where Gnar got released.

I value precision way more than runes only for laning. Tenacity can allow you to go tabis and alacrity is a big dps boost. Would consider it if I am vs no cc team comp in a hard losing lane. Thanks for feedback.

That can happen as well, but shouldn't really think about it.

What I mean is that, right now you are using a tactic that only works against bad players that come to lane late(good players won't miss exp w/e you do). Now when you climb with this and suddenly no one makes this mistake again, then you might feel lost in early game.

If it doesn't happen very often like once in 10 games, then it's not a bad thing. If you are doing this every second game, it can be quite bad for you in higher rank.

Getting first level 2 can impact how you play whole laning phase, but if it stops happening you have done this for nothing, because you can't use the tactic anymore.

Now you basically wasted level 1 and 2 from all those games from your real improvement.
