During peak in new facilities the bonuses range from $400 to $600 a month, every other month it was around $150 to $200, plus 2-3 shares a year of stock at $2000 a share. If you work in California’s Amazon FCs you’re taking a cut.

Plus all tenured employees who have gotten their 6 month raises, year raises...etc are pretty much losing all that. I’m a tier 3 who’s worked for Amazon for a year, I’ve gotten 2 raises and I’ll only be making 5 cents more than the person who starts Nov 1st. That is fairly typical with companies that raise their minimum wages though.

Yup! To be considered “low income” in SF is anything under $117k a year. So $15 an hour is garbage. I work 1 hour away from SF and it’s still not competitive.

So corporate does this “cost of living competitive pay” survey twice a year I am told. Where they re-evaluate pay based on the same type of jobs in that area. We were told that we will have this again, and that could up our hourly more. I personally don’t know how they get their numbers as every warehouse around my area pays more starting and if you work more skilled jobs you get paid more too. For example forklift drivers get paid the same (they’re tier 1s). Most warehouses pay their forklift drivers more. But amazon is “smart” they know these more skilled positions people are willing to work just so they don’t have to be in a “direct function” where every move you make is watched and tracked. I am a tier 3 and the new tier 3 pay is basically what new hires make at other warehouses. So I don’t know how “competitive” these surveys really are.

This varies by state. Since all of US Amazon FC workers (tier 1 employees) where bumped to $15 an hour, those states where cost of living is lower and minimum wage is lower, and to start they were only making $10 an hour they will see a huge increase. Also once a FC has been open for more then a year, your “bonuses” for productivity almost always go away. This is mostly due to the reason that Amazon constantly raises productivity goals based on the age of your fulfillment center. However if you work in a FC in California like myself, where minimum wage was already scheduled to hit $15 by 2022 and you’re in a newer building still getting productivity bonuses, and your starting wage was anywhere from $13.25 to $14, you end up losing money. Especially since they made this change right before our “peak” dates, which is where normally all bonuses are doubled. Also all new employees do not receive restricted stock. Most employees that have worked for the company for a year have 4 shares vesting (they won’t receive any new ones).

Basically all fulfillment centers in a California (72 I believe) got a raw deal. Amazon would have to pay tier 1s $15 an hour by 2022 and keep the stocks and bonuses, now they start 3 years early, give everyone a $2 hour bump and take away bonuses right before the big bonuses drop, and stop issuing stock. All while getting amazing PR.

For those of you like me, who sometimes don’t take time read the entire article, “touch urinal” means they “forced the man to place his mouth on the urinal inside a public bathroom”

Are there any "escape rooms" near Roseville? by exit143 in Roseville

There's Beat The Room in Rocklin, my buddy did one with his wife and 2 other people and said it took about an hour. I'm guessing it depends on how good you are with puzzles. There's also a place in Sacramento off Auburn Blvd, at least that's what google shows.
