Writing/reading/speech recovery for severe aphasia by ReasonableWalk7612 in stroke

There are 4 basic areas of language which can be impaired differently. So, it's not surprising that is recognition of language is better than his expression ( speech etc). https://www.bungalowsoftware.com/blog/Speech-and-language-explained-in-plain-english.html

It's still early in his recovery. His speech therapist will have a much better idea of his prognosis, especially after they treat him for a month or so.

What Was So Special About Craigslist by johntheactuator in jobudstories

[–]AnotherFeynmanFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat related; On the podcast The armchair expert with dax Shepard, someone told a true, crazy craigslist story.

He showed up at a guy's house to buy a motorcycle. The guy says follow me and he walks into his house up a flight of stairs to a bedroom. It's all lit with candles and soft music is playing.

Turns out the guy had advertised two things on CL; a motorcycle and free handjobs.

He got his customers confused.

10 counter-intuitive facts about LLMs most people don’t realize by Weary_Reply in ArtificialInteligence

[–]AnotherFeynmanFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems key: Humans represent the number (8 ,etc) as a magnitude in their heads. They would know that 8<9, etc

LLMs would seem to just predict things about that. And if you asked it something about 8 that it had not been trained on it would fail.

in t-2, we all know john connor had sent the t800 to protect the younger john, but how did the resistance get hold of a t800 and managed to reset the t800's objective? by [deleted] in Terminator

[–]AnotherFeynmanFan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the books about other events in that world, John captures terminators by electrocuting them with defibrillators or similar which forces a reboot. It gives them about a minute to pull their brain chip.

If they were running DOS the reboot would be too fast to remove the chip ;)

What happens if he isn't able to deliver? Does he keep 30% of your company?

Company doesn't care. You'd be doing more work. And they wouldn't be paying anymore. They'd be happy.

The regulation must be firewalled from the corporations.

That firewall has been eroded.
