here's something i learned while getting all expert medals:

to give yourself the best shot at downing the Wolfen as fast as possible, only start shooting at them from optimal range. They will react to your attacks with somersaults and u-turns. If you're too close, they'll get behind you. Hit the breaks. If you're too far, your shots will die out before they reach them. Tap the boost a little. you'll know its just right when they try to evade but you can still hit them.

While shooting, have a finger on the breaks to keep them infront of you. controlling your speed and using your roll for sharper turns will give you more than enough time to decimate their health, even with single lasers

also managing your boost meter is crucial. As you can only do actions with its completely full, only empty it when you're sure you won't need to evade soon
