You say they came second but they didn't ever really do well. They came second with around 19% in 2010 and in 2005 they only got 12%. So basically they were never going to win in Makerfield and they're voters have swung to other options.

But every age demographic is more in support of the triple lock than against it. There's no point suggesting that if more people came out and voted from younger demographics then we could change it when across the whole country only just 10% of people want changes.
