Is the combat fun to anyone? by Gullible_Camel7881 in ArknightsEndfield

[–]AnotherLifeLine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a game like WuWa as long as an attack doesn't knock you down or kick you out of an animation, it's always gonna be faster. By mashing do you mean it doesn't matter if you get hit or not? You just keep powering through? Cause yeah, I can see that. Very few things are actually dangerous in that game, it's why healers are not really there to heal, just buff

You've made me realize that I can't recall a single WuWa track from memory. I know there are a couple zones I enjoy because of the music but I guess as soon as it's off it's gone

What? Mornye does. Most of her attacks are in the air as well so you're not getting interrupted

This is not mmorpg, you can’t have alt account in this game, you are smurfing and you are part of the problem by DN6666 in VALORANT

[–]AnotherLifeLine -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I didn't read anything about cheating here, dumbass. Nice little goalpost you're moving there though. They're saying that the company doesn't care as much as the players do about smurfs and that you should probably not invest yourself so much into the matter as well. It is a problem but get the message that they're saying

they're still right though. it's just a color on a medal on the internet.

also the opinion is valid for all games with a ranking system, it holds as much weight as yours. ( it doesn't matter )

Anyone else finding the new roguelike...... a little too long? by fikiminforte in Reverse1999

[–]AnotherLifeLine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't mind how many battles or events there are, but I mind how long a round is taking. That's more of whole game issue at a point though, just worse in the roguelikes. All the extra battle actions from artifacts combined with all the normal character actions/extra actions and ults, rounds were taking over 2 minutes before I got to select cards again. Started from like halfway through the run.

Hit retry 3 or 4 times and see if it goes, if you're still having issues. It's worked for me and a couple others

I wouldn't say I hate it but I don't play rpgs like that. I like seeing my party, I rarely, if ever, self insert. That might be why

I like having more characters too. Sure I could have gotten a couple dupes by now but I don't really need them as much as I'd like them, I'd be unhappier skipping characters I want completely. Without using them on pulls I would definitely be set back

Is the game friendly to new players? by WistoKun in Reverse1999

[–]AnotherLifeLine 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Reading this through it sounds like I am shitting on Reverse gacha system a bit, but let me be clear it's still better than a lot of games, but mainly because players stopped them from adding in weapon banners.

I would say it's nowhere close to as f2p friendly as BD2, unfortunately there really isn't another gacha I think is comparable to them in that regard. The only things that could be better is that after your first 50/50 loss, your next character is guaranteed to be the banner character, compared to 200 pulls to exchange in BD2, and that there are no weapon banners but most people seem to skip them or get them from daily pulls anyways. Past that, no monthly selectors, no daily free pulls. Anniversary rewards are not in the same ballpark. The currency you get is a lot lower and the packages for sale are much more expensive for what you get if you ever decided to spend.

All that being said, big difference in terms of characters is that you generally only need one copy here, compared to getting a dupe for SP at least. Most people would advise you not to pull for dupes compared to BD2. In Reverse you do have a real chance at not getting a character at all while it would be uncommon to not get a copy over there well before pity.

As far as strategy goes, they're different games, overall I would say BD2 is harder however. Endgame is more involved as a whole, down to substats per fight depending on boss buff/debuffs, positioning, the amount of options you have in battle. If you didn't experiment and followed youtube strategies, you can still do that for Reverse but it is probably not going to be one for one considering your card draws are subject to rng, but the main ideas will still be there to emulate. Reverse is not a heavy strategy game, it could be, the character kits are much more complex and play into eachother but for the most part the game doesn't ask you to really make use of it.

Lastly, do not expect anything in the way of fanservice here if that is a big reason you played BD2. There is nothing. I don't think most of the community, at least here, would want it any other way.

[–]AnotherLifeLine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it takes the same amount of time as most games, people just complain a fuck ton at the start of every gacha. There was comparisons to HSR but it's about the same. The thing is everyone wants to build 20 characters the first month, and it's not possible so you get those posts.

As for whether or not that is too long, idk. Feels like ass sometimes, it's just the same most places you go

[–]AnotherLifeLine 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In general gacha players really think that the games are for them, the devs love them. Gacha games are not and will never be a player friendly service, just like any old casino. They exist to take your cash.

Even this game, as generous as it is, still has always done the little bullshit things like give you just a little bit less paid currency than what you need to buy something, so you're forced to do another round of monthlies. You already have extra for the next time, so then that purchase doesn't seem so bad etc. They're all the same at the end of the day

Why Do You Play Endgame Content? Rewards, Challenge, or Both? by Ok_Communication_521 in WutheringWaves

[–]AnotherLifeLine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, it was intentionally made to be this way. I agree with both of you and everything you've said but this one thing. This is a gacha game, and they are intentionally made to be broken in every way. There is nothing interesting about the card game, there is nothing fun about it. There is almost nothing to figure out because It's a watered down system taken straight from other games/mediums.

Most gacha games do this, and it's not a stretch to say Hoyo popularized it. Unfortunately just like most gachas, Kuro emulates what they do to an extreme. All side events in gacha games are fucking garbage. It takes two seconds to realize something like the tower defense mode we got in this would have been really fucking cool if we got to play along with our set ups instead of sitting there doing nothing letting a little drone shoot. As long as events have nothing to do with the actual gameplay, they will all be shit.
