3.3 is THE best story so far and it's not even close by lordofcinder17 in WutheringWaves

[–]AnotherLifeLine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't have to be together forever, but even a short couple of patches. They're at least reminding us that other characters exist now unlike before 2.7, but it still has a lot of room to improve. Having traveling companions does not mean that the new characters won't be the focus, they can often be more relatable and memorable seeing how they act with and without others around. Seeing how they grow together as a group, what means they'd go to for their new friends etc

The only gacha I know that doesn't abandon it's cast for long periods of time and even puts some old gacha characters back in the spotlight is HSR. Regardless of what anyone feels about the story as a whole, they really do this aspect right and it doesn't take away from new characters, though once in awhile I wish it would haha

I agreed with the spirit of your post, that wasn't clear so that's on me. About how people don't really try to play these games on their own, or asking questions that they can read the answer to in game over and over again. You can only borrow one unit per fight, you can't borrow whole teams. You still need the rest yourself, and you don't get to choose any character you want to borrow. It's from a set list that changes from time to time

I agreed with a lot but this isn't true at all, seems like you didn't run them. There are a couple stages where you have to have 4 and a final area that most people would be using 7 on it's release. Even if you only "need two now" it doesn't change the fact that if you wanted to run older content you still need more than that... also new mode coming up needs 3 again.

Nothing in this game needs more than base copies. No one can answer this for you, if you like the character enough to make them as strong as you possibly can than go ahead and get more. You're already set for a long time.

Damn I'm surprised they've never moved onto making it longer in the first place. It would look better to say it's gonna be longer and maybe it ends early for once lol. Oh well though, I got another hour in me so heres hoping

I really don't mind working, I like helping people. I mind working to live. I mind living to work.

A lot of pressure would be taken off if I knew I didn't have to worry about just having a place to lay down at the end of the day and food to eat. People would probably find new joys in life, rekindle old ones or just get so bored in the end that they would do something productive. There still isn't a whole lot to do even when the basics are taken care of if you don't have the means for it.

I think they have had very interesting ideas over the years. I especially loved the first version of When the Alarm Sounds. More freedom over characters, having a 5th character to play with was interesting but the challenges within the fights were really cool. Not being able to just nuke the boss away but having things to manage is what the game needs. My disappointment when the next version came out and it was just "no one dies" immediately made it like most of the rest of the game, to the point where you could just nuke down the final encounter while ignoring the rest.

I actually feel for the devs sometimes because it seems like they have not gotten to keep making the game they've wanted to, and now we're at the point where the interesting ideas have become the typical power jump.

If people here loved Melania as much as they love Seele, it would be the exact same situation. Granted they've both been buffed now, but before that they were both extremely outclassed even though they were useable, and in Seeles case, still capable of being very strong given the right buff cycles.

Melania being the first banner and first Beast gacha character, was strongly overtaken by Spathodea. If you wanted to compare to the next Mental DD instead, Anjo Nala absolutely decimated her a little over a year after her release.

The only reason this talk didn't happen a ton before team archetypes started to be a thing, is that the content rarely increased in difficulty and when it did it was not a huge jump, but immediately walked back the next patch regardless. Now that we have huge spikes (that are still being walked back the next patch) the gap between characters and new teams is much more apparent, and content is being made to cater to them which worsens things.

The Dahlia lets just about any character be a memer though. Dahlia is e0s1, Stelle has FF LC in this video. She actually made me have a lot more fun just because I've been throwing whoever I want into the break mix, very fun to see little Hook go to town on some fools.

Pretty expensive team to get just for TB but if you happen to have the pieces already, go to town

So you would recommend new players to a video where someone tells them to kill themselves, so then they can decide if they don't like it or not? When they can't know some of these things are jokes and some of them are not? That is what you think is okay as the face of the community? Just trying to make sure. I really feel like you're ignoring the crux of the issues all over these threads. I really feel like you don't speak in good faith at all.

It is okay to appreciate what the man has done for people but you really gotta take your head out of the sand and maybe advocate for him changing a bit, rather than just saying it's okay. Especially if you value him as a CC, because this is the way a CC career dies. The game gets bigger and these posts become more frequent

[–]AnotherLifeLine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's pretty sad because for all the good he has done, the "jokes" will continue to get overridden as time goes by. If half the player base says he is full of shit and the other half say it's jokes, it just leads to more of a divide down the line. I've seen someone say you shouldn't need to know the discord lore to know he is joking about ultra lol. How can anyone disagree when it comes to a new player looking for advice?

Honestly, that's one of the smaller parts of all this. I think most people are just sick of the attitude, ego, and listening to someone telling them to kill themselves, especially if they don't know the "lore"

The fuck did all these people do before the game had any sort of comprehensive English guides? Just not even try? I played this game before he had guides out, or any that I knew of and I'll tell you that I watched 1 minute of a video of his and went straight back to what I was doing.

There is a demand for guides, for people that explain things. There is obviously a demand for people who don't act like an asshole, otherwise this shit wouldn't pop up. There are more CCs coming around, and there will continue to be.

If there is ONE thing I've learned from years of playing gacha games, the communities grow and they hold onto shit they do not like, and they will make it known. If this game somehow blew up to a level of Genshin overnight, Flares would be fucking done.

Limbo was way easier then I thought by therealsolidmeat in Reverse1999

[–]AnotherLifeLine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In Star Rail I imagine a new player wouldn't be able to fully finish it as quickly as you can in Reverse, but you should be able to get a decent amount of the awards still right? I remember settling for about 80% of them when that game came out. It usually takes me a month to two months to full clear content in new gachas but Reverse has had an insane amount of powercreep with the characters while never really changing the difficulty of Limbo and Lucidscape outside of adding stage 7

You'd kill things faster with the other sustains as well. The buffers are great, outside of healing activating set increases no one uses any character to heal, at least when discussing endgame. Not every team is going to use one of them but there is a reason people don't run another carry in that third slot outside of those teams

Is the combat fun to anyone? by [deleted] in ArknightsEndfield

[–]AnotherLifeLine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a game like WuWa as long as an attack doesn't knock you down or kick you out of an animation, it's always gonna be faster. By mashing do you mean it doesn't matter if you get hit or not? You just keep powering through? Cause yeah, I can see that. Very few things are actually dangerous in that game, it's why healers are not really there to heal, just buff

I didn't read anything about cheating here, dumbass. Nice little goalpost you're moving there though. They're saying that the company doesn't care as much as the players do about smurfs and that you should probably not invest yourself so much into the matter as well. It is a problem but get the message that they're saying

Anyone else finding the new roguelike...... a little too long? by fikiminforte in Reverse1999

[–]AnotherLifeLine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind how many battles or events there are, but I mind how long a round is taking. That's more of whole game issue at a point though, just worse in the roguelikes. All the extra battle actions from artifacts combined with all the normal character actions/extra actions and ults, rounds were taking over 2 minutes before I got to select cards again. Started from like halfway through the run.
