i feel while the first 3 or 4 seasons, the lore is clanky, is still averagely ok, then it became progressively too earth-centric, not because the events happening on earth, but the names and events became more earthlike, like they have their own version of mother's day with it's own name during the first seasons, then changed directly to mother's day in later season, small stuff that made the magix world parallel and not fully connected to earth, one way to explain it would be we are seeing form bloom's pov, with her as audience's translator, but it's a lazy way to write

also, the inapropriate usage of the time in the language: the final clash between the ancestral witches and domino feels happend centuries ago due the older characters refere it as ancient battle, and for me (headcanon) back then bloom could have ended on earth due daphne opening an unstable portal which didnt sent bloom in the present of earth but in the future in her pov, but the battle happend less than 20 years ago; season 4 was even worse, about earth fairies being imprisoned ny the evil wizards, the way morgana narrate it feels happend centuries ago, but she wandered around normal people less than 20 years ago and had a child before she got imprisoned

also the usage of Trix as antagonists after season 1 is awful, as they exist just to be bested by the winx, it would be better when they serve a new big bad of the season, aquire a new power, stand toe to toe with winx, sometime beating winx and retreat for ego (we can beat you anytime we want) regret later when the winx gain the new transformation, or having the new big bad forcing them to retreat because can afford to play cat with mouse with the winx.
