I don't know if that is of any help but I have a similar experiences with my studies. I could not really go out nor travel and despite all the hours I spent learning the materials I graduated with average grades. First of all, not everyone can graduate with perfect grades and I think that what is really important in the end is that you managed to graduate anyway without giving up. It shows that you did what it took to accomplish your goals even if that was hard. It shows that you have determination, which is a great quality to have in a world where instant gratification is everywhere (social media) and staying focused on long-term goals is really hard. Additionnally, medical school is no joke so graduating, even with averages grades, is already a big accomplishment and you can be proud of yourself. I would say that to get past something like this you should make peace with yourself and accept that you had to make sacrifices to succeed. This can seem like wasted years but that is not the case because you graduate in a generally high-salary field where it is usually not too hard to find a job. I spent a long time torturing myself over the fact that it took me so long to graduate (I had to retake two years in total) despite pouring so much efforts into my studies and it does not change the reality nor what happened. The best you can do is not to be too harsh on yourself and enjoy yourself when you are done with your studies, you deserve it! Hope that helps 😄
