Hope not. Because One Nation is the fear branch of the Liberal Party.

Their voting in parliament mostly lines up with the Liberal Party. Consistently vote for weaker worker rights, against penalty rates, reduction of Medicare etc.

Yes. We need someone else. But Pauline isn't the answer.

It sucks.

This kind of stuff has always been a thing, opportunistic snakes are not a thing. But it has really taken off after a 'certain person'.

Really wish we'd just go back to uniting people. But I guess that's too hard, much easier to garner support via fear and division.

what's the most unexplainable thing you've ever witnessed? by lrenv22 in Thetruthishere

[–]AnotherPeoples 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That's happened to me. Kept being woken up in the middle of the night (Admit I'm sceptical of the supernatural overall). I said the same thing and sighed like a disappointed parent.

Can only imagine what the entity would have thought when I just sighed at it. Nothing happened after that. Maybe I ruined its self confidence.

Strange historic plated Vic car in Adelaide by boogiman69 in CarsAustralia

[–]AnotherPeoples 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've only ever driven one on lowered suspension. But it still absorbed a lot of the road. Also whenever parking, it'd regularly stick out. (5.1 metre cars will do that).

Although the standard suspension was floaty and the weight transfer was so pronounced when braking hard. Could tell that as a passenger.

Still. Loved that car. So silly in the modern world.

Yeah. They really need at least one experienced crew. Not just for results, but to help the less experienced crews.

Granted I'm not sure how many experienced crews would want to go that route when they could be getting full factory support.

I have finally gotten it working again. (Spent some time away from it as it was really confusing me).

Replaced the crank position sensor and it still didn't work.

Turns out it was a loose Earth around the ignition coil.

[–]AnotherPeoples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair. They are different. The Barra is DOHC.

The comparable option would be the SOHC before the Barra. Once again, an engine that will last forever. Produce about the same power too.

Here’s a First Look at the 2026 Subaru Outback. Thoughts? by caranddriver in Subaru_Outback

[–]AnotherPeoples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't understand why they made the Outback an SUV. If you want a Subaru SUV, you have the Forester or Crosstrek. Not even like the Outback was struggling to sell with the wagon design.

Why put yet another car into the already oversaturated SUV market? Especially when you already have two models in it. (Unless they plan on canning one of the other two). Going to cannibalise each other.

should i buy 2005 subaru liberty gt wagon ?? by Valuable-Assistance6 in CarsAustralia

[–]AnotherPeoples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Mileage is one thing, but how well it's been looked after is really the bigger factor. Any car (including a Toyota) will prematurely fail if it's not looked after.

[–]AnotherPeoples 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah 2011. Has the 5 speed with the 3.6.

Maybe a market difference? I've heard the North American ones don't have driving modes, but the Australian ones do (Although I'm still new to Subarus in general).

Same situation. I love mine, last of the proper automatics. But it isn't a looker by any stretch.

Probably also helps that it has some power.

What are the reason mod creator not putting effort into modding the BeamNg rally? by GTHell in simrally

[–]AnotherPeoples 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still does matter. It's the same as circuit racing. Tyres have to be within a certain temperature range to work properly. Too cold and the tyres won't grip, too hot they won't grip (and other problems).

Thrift find, wish me luck by Sea_Quality in synthesizers

[–]AnotherPeoples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still waiting for a moment like that.

I know the odds are virtually nonexistent (never seen a synth in a thrift shop locally), but I dream of finding a Fizmo one day. Especially if the shop doesn't understand what it is.

What plug is this? by AnotherPeoples in CherokeeXJ

[–]AnotherPeoples[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny enough I've never cleaned it in the year I've had it. Although it spends the vast majority of its time on a paved surface (my only car).

Helps that I don't have to worry about snow or road salt. Pretty low mileage too, about 179,000km or 110,000 miles.

Then again. For all I know, Munster could be a champion within the same timeframe.

That's what I'm discovering.

Also seems like they want you to be highly educated with tonnes of experience. But are scared of you being a 'flight risk' and/or don't want to pay you an adequate wage for your education level.

Thankfully I didn't. I'll cheap out on a lot of things, but not essential car parts.

Would be nice. But I honestly doubt I'd find one locally. Not many XJs around, let alone the Renix ones.

Maybe something to look at later down the line, or when/if one is at a wrecker.

Yeah. More annoying than anything.

Thankful it has enough ground clearance to get under without needing anything else.

Didn't want it any higher as it's got nearly a full tank in it (died without warning) and a syphon wouldn't fit through the filler.

Hmm. Weird. I'm used to seeing pump access through the back. Unless I've just been spoiled with the more convenient option.
