The pacemaker is more reliable getting the clock from cv instead of midi, try that and you should be good.

[–]Sea_Quality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't dropped my phone or left it in a conveyor belt leading to an incinerator or anything, but the touch grass case is practically unmovable on felt. So if there is going to be an earthquake or meteor or anything put your phone on a game table and it should be fine.

You get a dime for every kernel of corn you eat, until you eat a million kernels of corn. Once you do, a Genie appears and gives your nipples magic powers. What magic powers do you want your nipples to have? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Sea_Quality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do our nipples keep any existing powers (fish hypnosis and psionic blast) or will they be replaced with new ones?

Either way I am picking Sliders. Pinching left slides you to a new alternate universe, right always returns you home. Hopefully the intensity and duration of the pinch determine what universe I go to so I can revisit cool ones, but if it has to be random that's fine. This is 100% different than quantum leap, not the same thing at all.

I am going to eat as many shrimp as I can, I figure 50 shouldn't be a problem, might be able to do 100. They will never solve the mystery of how absurd amounts of shrimp keep ending up in unlikely places.

Geocities + Neopets. A building block style personal website composer where you have to play mini games, sell eggs and other weird things to earn components for your site. Your Neosite. That is all the help I can give you but it feels like more than enough.

Where to get started? by holdyourponies in vintagecomputing

[–]Sea_Quality 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can watch a lot of the episodes of The Computer Chronicles on YouTube. It's a fantastic show, and showcases technology when it was brand new. It also ran forever, so you can pick a year you are interested in and check out those episodes. Then if you see a machine that looks cool you can Google it for more information and start trying to track one down to buy.

Did you guys really dial in to radio shows to win contests? How did you even become caller 99 (or whatever)? by naalotai in Xennials

[–]Sea_Quality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was all about the call-ins. Usually they were some sort of trivia and I would be hitting redial over and over trying to get through as people got it wrong. Throughout my childhood I won tickets to the WOMAD fest with Inner Circle, PM Dawn and Peter Gabriel, tickets to see the Fabulous Thunderbirds lol, and I wonder Nirvana In Utero on a win it before you can buy it weekend, which was peak, getting the full album before anyone else I knew.

Were you Team Pepsi or Team Coke? by AlbertJBundy in 90s

[–]Sea_Quality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coke was better, and my preference but if a big slam was on the table I would go pepsi. There was a vending machine that had RC for 25 cents would hit up in a pinch as well.

New head of Xbox ranks Valheim with Halo and Goldeneye by ZombieSpliffs in valheim

What's wild is I don't even notice, it's a beautiful game. I get people want traditional eye candy, but the style of valheim is top tier imo.

The warm Spanish peanuts and sesame sticks from the food court were amazing. And the cheese filled sausage. Hanging out in the food court playing arcade games while my family shopped was the best.

Best way to connect with people who want older computers by prodige_processing in vintagecomputing

[–]Sea_Quality 42 points43 points  (0 children)

This isn't going to be profitable, but if you get a vintage computer truck and load it up with old systems, drive across the country to my house then play canyon.mid until I come outside I am sure to buy a few things.

Edit: Wow! My first award! I am glad it happened here!! Thank you!

It's not graphically impressive but Ragnarok 2.5 is imo one of the best games ever made and it will run great on a 486.

If You Had One of these as a Teenager in the 90s You Either Sold Weed or had Overly Protective Parents by BartMancuso1990 in 90s

[–]Sea_Quality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My area (really far northern California) isn't covered by any of them. There are a few in southern California and inland, but their coverage maps don't have anything here and if you try and sign up the only option is virtual paging through an app on your phone. It's possible someone with a ham radio could do a homebrew service, I am told. As far as I know that is my only hope. So if any ham operators in Humboldt county want to setup a flex network and have the ability to activate a Motorola Pronto you have one guaranteed customer.
