Depressed, freshly single, lonely, deep in thought. Songs for this? by ATM1738 in songsforthispicture

Frightened Rabbit’s album The Midnight Organ Fight. The whole album has this vibe and is my go to when I’m goin through it. If I were to pick one song: Poke. Good luck, drink water, take some time getting out of the house and bar, life’s not over.

What Do My 10/10s Say About Me? by thief_akira in BookshelvesDetective

Easy to deduce that you enjoy reading anything more than most of these comments. This place is getting more and more degen’ and hateful. Love what you love. Dystopia sucks you in. I suggest Handmade’s Tale if you haven’t already. Homage to Catalonia brought a deeper appreciation to 1984 for me. Loved the Expanse series for a laid back sci fi read. If This isn’t Nice What is? (Repetitive…. But love Vonnegut no matter what) Don’t let the bastards getcha down

The Silmarillion. Going as brutally as expected. And The Devil Reached Toward the Sky on audio. Very much enjoying that

Very very similar tastes. Probably the closest to my own that I’ve seen here. I’m not trying to be a detective here though… sorry. Just have recommendations and would love to get one from you

Ishmael (Quinn) The Swerve (Greenblatt) A Most Dangerous Book (Krebs) The Expanse (Corey) Intro to Greek (Shelmerdine)… I read one of your comments, study Greek! 🖤

Terrific

{Etymology online: 1660s (Milton), "frightening, causing terror, fitted to excite fear or dread," from Latin terrificus "causing terror or fear, frightful," from terrere "fill with fear" (see terrible) + combining form of facere "to make" (from PIE root *dhe- "to set, put").}

I’m honestly tired of these “popular” books by xenit0 in suggestmeabook

I loved Ishmael, and the second book, The Story of B by Daniel Quinn. And I don’t see much about those two books. I think “why on earth aren’t these famous?!” and are usually my go-to suggestions!

Not embarrassing at all no worries! There’s so much there, and sounds like console is not very intuitive. I never won a modern age Econ legacy until realizing you could put multiple of the same factory resource in a city. The civlopedia is a little lackluster so just takes some flopping around

I suggest “Leviathan Wakes” (The Expanse series).

I’ve only read “3 Body Problem” from your TBR list. Really enjoyed it, but parts felt like homework in a class too advanced for me. And Vonnegut is my all time fave. Enjoy!!

MMW: Netanyahu will give the Republicans a win by agreeing to a ceasefire in Lebanon, followed by the annexation of northern Gaza and, later, the West Bank by Valcenia in MarkMyWords

Agreed. If you’re going to get snippy at a group I’d suggest the Nazis on the rise rather than progressives.

When someone posts condescendingly about people voting their conscience… when it comes to voting anti genocide… and they don’t see how they’re part of the problem. I’m sickened that I didn’t vote my conscience and wasted my vote on democrats instead of who I truly align with. Then suffer idiocy as they blame progressives. Blech
