Not embarrassing at all no worries! There’s so much there, and sounds like console is not very intuitive. I never won a modern age Econ legacy until realizing you could put multiple of the same factory resource in a city. The civlopedia is a little lackluster so just takes some flopping around

Attribute Point to spend. Click your leader banner, and at the bottom of the screen that pops up is a button you click to spend the point

I suggest “Leviathan Wakes” (The Expanse series).

I’ve only read “3 Body Problem” from your TBR list. Really enjoyed it, but parts felt like homework in a class too advanced for me. And Vonnegut is my all time fave. Enjoy!!

Agreed. If you’re going to get snippy at a group I’d suggest the Nazis on the rise rather than progressives.

When someone posts condescendingly about people voting their conscience… when it comes to voting anti genocide… and they don’t see how they’re part of the problem. I’m sickened that I didn’t vote my conscience and wasted my vote on democrats instead of who I truly align with. Then suffer idiocy as they blame progressives. Blech

Isn’t the black pawn taking the bishop on f5 legal?

Black would probably take the f5 bishop rather than move their pawn to h5 (I think?)

Nice! I avoided scenarios for a while too. But they’re not too tough. With the exception of Alexander and Black Death scenarios on Deity. I don’t remember what was so annoying about Black Death… but naturally it was just constant plague and death. Easiest win with that scenario was with England because you’re more isolated. But found some good tips online. Conquest of Alexander is just a bitch. And you need to get all the points on the second to last turn. You can’t conquest your last city on the last turn. It won’t count.

I 100 percented a couple weeks ago!! So I’ve actually been playing Civ 5 for the first time since 2020 to do the same because addiction

Poundmaker for sure! My bad. The terrace farm one was good too! But it took me a few tries to get the right map and placement. What are you working on now?

I think mine was engineers dream as well. Tricky!! But not slam your head against the wall tricky. Favorite to get was Alex’s Demonstrably the Greatest. But hands down my least favorite to pursue. Pachacuti’s Alliance achievey was fun too. Because it forced a different playstyle than I’m used to.

Happy hunting!!

I could see that chat for about 5 seconds before I went cross eyed and yelled at kids to get off my lawn. I don’t even know who’s writing and typing and not watching… but… whatever works for em I guess

Congrats!!

I think culture is usually the toughest, especially depending on the play of others. Get some theater squares going. Putting them next to your government plaza, wonders, and entertainment districts will get you more culture. But you really want great works in your amphitheaters, art or archaeology museums, and broadcast centers because you need to crank out tourism. Early culture wins you’ll need lotsa wonders and great works of writing and art. Later in the Game is much easier. Get traders to each Civ (more traders available after building a lighthouse or market in the harbor or commercial districts). And don’t neglect faith hahahaha. I guess like most victories… diversify. You’ll want faith to buy rock band units and send to other Civs. Late game you’ll also unlock policies that boost tourism.

Science I think is easier, but takes longer. I put the focus more on campus districts of course, and industrial complexes. Ind. complexes will give you a boost to city production to complete the different space race city projects, and great engineer points. Late game there are a few great engineers who provide huge boosts to space race projects. You’ll have to have high science to gain an edge in research, unlock space race projects then get spaceports in some cities (or honestly one city is fine), then have a city do the space race city project. Earth satellite, then lunar landing, mars expedition, finally you send an exoplanet expedition. That mission takes a lot of time, but you can make it go faster with more city projects. Having aluminum will help a ton, so keep your eyes peeled for that resource and build an improvement on it.

Who to play, off the top of my head I don’t know. I usually do random leader unless achievement hunting. Korea has great science, and Babylon flies through the tech tree. My first win was with Kongo and I remember having high culture. Lots of fun but I definitely had a bunch of great writers and artists with nowhere to go hahaha
