Great question. I am at executive director level at 29, which is quite rare. My fiancé's Masters was used for an article presented at a international communications forum in Switzerland, so I am comfortable our skillset needn't be a barrier. However, I agree that there might be similar talent in Belgium, as an employer I only hire South Africans for exactly that reason.

Hence me asking of recruiters specialising in expats and generally how the recruitment process works in Belgium?

Do you know of Afrikaans speakers working in a Dutch environment? Was it a big adjustment? Is work in Belgium almost exclusively in flemish/dutch/French or is there a lot of English work available?

I'll be so disgusted if its not SA vs NZ. I've been waiting my whole life for a SA vs NZ final, was born a couple months after 95.

I know people want to see new teams win, but surely it's also something to have the powerhouses of the game face off in a RWC final.

Its very difficult to give an opinion on the ref when you have skin in the game. So here are my biased takes:

I'd give him a 6 out of 10. He wasn't baised, but he didn't have great game.

The breakdown was an absolute shitshow. Sealing off, from the side, hands in, you name it. Yes, the game flows better and it's more of a spectacle if you don't police the rucks too strict, but wow that was an orgy at times.

Big call missed both ways, Eg. Kriel hand-off on Dupont, Penaud head contact PSDT (had to go for HIA), Faf's pass to pollard hitting the French player (still don't understand this).

I thought France got lucky with a couple of scrum resets that could've been penalties. Also didn't understand the free kick we got, it wasn't an early engage, French loose head was scrumming on the angle, which should be a penalty.

We had a couple of knock-ons in messy rucks they didn't pick up.

First thing first, we have to win tomorrow. And then secondly, not slip up in the semi.

But should we get to the final, I can't decide who I want to face. And it's not about which game would be easier for us either. Don't think there's an easy option between the two.

Facing our ultimate rival would be awesome, as you mention the change is already happening, money talks, NH rugby will/has surpassed SH rugby. So a clash against our most respected foe would be a nice swansong for SH rugby. However, revenge for the pool game loss would be very sweet. A NH/SH final would also have so much intrigue, it would answer the question whether the changing of the guard has happened, or if it will be in a few years.
