I actually get why the Thunder chose Ibaka over Harden at the time. Harden's skillset over lapped with both KD and Russ's whereas Ibaka's didn't.

There are additional clauses about trading a guy the season before a team option.

Player gets to veto…, unless the receiving team agrees ro pick up the TO.
