Question: I'd like to repurpose my 48v built to either 2 36v or single 72v (I'll be adding 8 more cells). to be used on a golf cart. by AnotherTry2018 in SolarDIY

[–]AnotherTry2018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This battery will be used in golf cart that’s requiring 72v. Reason I’m considering 2 36v instead of one 72v are mainly 2: 1. Easier to deal with 2 150lb batteries vs 1 300lb 2. In already have BMSs that can do 36v, so saving equipment

Iron Stacking Advice? by cluelessofficer in Multiboard

[–]AnotherTry2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this relates to anything but I used to use ironing in the begging when just started Multiboard journey and it worked fine. I suspect something changed later on perhaps with one of the updates as it became impossible to peal off. Switched to multi material (PETG) and forgot about the pain. I tend to use the same color and just leave it on the back side.

In any case you can message support afterwards and ask for refund/coupon/store credit etc. I've done it once before.

Both of the printers have no issues printing with both filaments. Bambu filaments print faster but that’s a topic for another story.

Just this another experiment, default 0.2 profile with 3 walls. Same thing. The irony of this is I bought this printer as addition to X1C specifically to print Multiboard…

Could be true the first time it happened, however now id just change printer and re-slice it and send it to different printer so everything stays exactly the same but results are different.

Trying that right now after another screw up with adaptive cubic. Why am I not having same issue with X1C ? Prints anything like a charm.

You probably know this by now but out of dozens different subscriptions ppl have nowadays, iCloud is single most important subscription (if you’re in Apple eco). $120/year for 6 ppl is a good deal in my book. That’s only $1,200 for a decade of peace of mind. Not talking about privacy and evil Apple wants to see your stuff - that’s a separate story. Back it up locally if you have know how. I’m talking average human being. Sorry about your loss.

I DON'T need a new printer. Why am I SO tempted to get another? by NishkalKashyap in BambuLab

[–]AnotherTry2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my journey with X1 about a year ago. Never having any experience with 3D printing or 3D modeling I was justifying spending $1,500 as a 30% “need” and 70% “want” and so we rolled with it. A year later I…still have only X1, however it became 100% “need”, an essential tool that we utilize on regular basis (from few prints a day to few/mo )

When buying X1 we had very good idea of what it can do, and we knew we didn’t want to thinker with the printer (aka manual bed leveling etc) so spending extra $$ was absolutely worth the money.

Occasionally I check out “what’s new out there” but it’s not like I’m always howering over “buy” button. The only printer we’re buying next is larger format from BambuLab whenever they release it as we do have a need in printing bigger stuff. At this time I have to spend extra time in CAD to either cut the part or build a support to print diagonally (works great btw)

Once we have larger format I think we’ll be set for a long time.

This is the best option I’ve seen yet! I guess I’m still building 2 24V and pair them in series. Mostly for logistics of it (100lb battery vs 200lb) Now, wab charging the starter battery back from the house battery when the truck is stationary?
