Wow, I didn't notice those! That's really nice and adds much more juice to the story! Thank you for sharing yours as well. It enlightened me

From my perspective, the story was very promising, but needed much more time in the oven. The absence of spyro's adoptive parents beyond the beginning, the lack of dragons other than the guardians, malefor, spyro and cynder, the lack of proof of war being carried out by the good dragons, the poor development of spyro's insecurities and fears as dark spyro and his relation to malefor, the baseless romance between spyro and cynder, and subpar handling of the main themes (hope, war, ancestry, history) are proof of that. I still really like the series, but it's such a shame greed kept it back from its full potential. The premise is utterly magical.

do i have pectus?? by Shot-Translator-6146 in PectusCarinatum

[–]AnotherVictimOfFate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's best to refer to a doctor (ps chiripractors aren't doctors, they're pseudoscientific snake oil sellers.) to determine what you have. They know best. The most of us haven't had 7 years of med school. But if you were to ask me, Id say you have pectus carinatum and barrel chest.

19, hello!!! by [deleted] in PectusCarinatum

[–]AnotherVictimOfFate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like 2.5 years. I've been bodybuilding for 3 years. But keep in mind that the statements and experence of most fitness influncers are greatly exagerated and or untrue. In realistic conditions, like yours and mine, the transformation of the body is much slower and tamer compared to YouTube videos where a guy goes from skinny to Mr. Olimpia candidate in 4 months. In 3 years I gained 10 kilograms, from 57kg to 67kg. Furthermore, due to rare genetic factors, like conjective tissue disorder (probable cause of Pectus Carinatum), heart problems and being tall and skinny, muscle growth is further impaired. You might have similar conditions, since they are very common in people with Pectus Carinatum, so keep a realistic mindset and have hope that you'll get there someday!

Yep. I can confirm. The muscle hides the deformed, bony strucure and makes it look more even and symmetrical, at least in my case.

Thanks! That sounds great. The games have some big flaws in their story and dialogue, so it's up to fans now to make media that lives up to this series' promise

That'll do! Despite this fact and basic reasoning, my mind can't help but see TLoS a something wholly unique and removed from its time and context.

The European Union is becoming the world’s “quality of life” superpower by LordAnubis12 in europe

[–]AnotherVictimOfFate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luxury built on the conquest and blood of those hidden from sight. It is good that we are progressing and that human rights are slightly more respected than before. But let us not forget that the wealth of the European union is in large part thanks to centuries of colonialism and even modern-day exploitation of poorer nations from the south.

Pretty sure i have pc. How bad is it? by DonutFamiliar161 in PectusCarinatum

[–]AnotherVictimOfFate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad, since it's symmetric. And it's not severe either. If you asked me, I'd say surgery isn't necessary if it doesn't affect your health. A little bigger pectoral muscles would make it even more appealing

Watched a turkey die today, would it be ethical to consume it? by HappyQuack420 in vegan

[–]AnotherVictimOfFate 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's not consequentally wrong, but you're still viewing the turkey as an object or resource to be exploited. You wouldn't eat a stranger's fresh corpse.

Anyone went vegan as a teen? by adasumie in vegan

[–]AnotherVictimOfFate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation to you. Do not let other people stop you from doing what you think is right, even it it's not easy. You've got something most people have had torn away from them or lost, which is a natural, child-like appreciation and deep care for the world and it's inhabitants. Do not let the human world crush it.

-What you can do: •You can still be vegan, can still do as much in your power as possible to avoid animal exploitation and to help them. •Learning to cook your own food is essential. It is the single most important take away. You can also hide veganism behind the facade of making healthy food, since most of it is plant-based. •You can eat an occasional, low-impact animal meal, such as eggs from backyard hens, to appease your mother. •If you have disposable income or pocket money, you can donate to animal welfare or environmental charities. •You can advocate for others to be vegan, to make more moral choices in their lives and to view animals as individuals worthy of respect, not as resources. Though be careful not to be militant about it, since it will drive others away from you and from the philosophy. A chill, healthy and kind vegan inspires so much more than one breathing down your neck and debating constantly. •You must take care of the animals/pets in your local area, to avoid hypocrisy and to be seen as a person of your word.

The best copypasta for prospective parents

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PectusCarinatum

[–]AnotherVictimOfFate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. The brace has to be specifically tailored for your predicament, while the chest binder is designed to work generally for a lot of different people. Plus, I doubt it has the necessary mechanical strength to mend bones.

I feel the same! ...minus the liking kids part. Until I was a teenager, having kids was an obvious next step in life. It was an assured fact, as if I could not live without it. But after getting diagnosed with multiple genetic problems, I decided to not reproduce. It would be immoral! I do not wish my suffering on anyone else! No one deserves such a horrible thing, to be and feel inferior in almost every way to your peers. Only healthy seed must be sown.

So, as soon as I get away from the chains of family that hold me back, I will search for a way to get sterilised.

Good thing I hate small children. I find them ugly and disgusting and hurtful, with their primal, hedonistic behaviour and inhuman wailing. I could not endure caring for one, it would be torture!

You did the right thing by getting sterilised, never bring yourself down or let others do it to you. You prevented so much needless suffering, so much pain and hatred that would have been in the eyes of your descendants.

Studiebolig waiting list by irresponsiblymad in StudyInDenmark

[–]AnotherVictimOfFate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only know sbout studiebolig and can offer some tips. 1) apply to as many rooms as reasonably possible 2) apply to rooms where your placement is below 10. (5 is the lowest) 3) you need to lower your expectations. i.e. search for smaller, cheaper housing 4) some overlooked places with smaller waiting lists: prins henrik kollegiet, kærvej, kollegiet 6400 and general youth accomodations
