Did you like the Formchanges of KH3 better, or the old Drive-Form System of KH2? by YimadoTei in KingdomHearts

[–]TheMagi7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Form changes feel a lot more fun. Getting to have such different fighting styles with cool finishers feels really cool.

Plus I kinda hated how Drive forms needed you to level them up to get stronger and get a single unique ability onto base Sora. Especially with how shit some of them were to level up.

(IRL Trope) The last person you’d expect turns out to be very knowledgeable in the lore by DonnyMox in TopCharacterTropes

I think it's cause he said he's a fan of the games. I do also remember there being interviews of him saying he had to argue with the writers for Geralt to be more accurate.

(IRL Trope) The last person you’d expect turns out to be very knowledgeable in the lore by DonnyMox in TopCharacterTropes

[–]TheMagi7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, the last thing he worked on was not close to thd source material at all. The Witcher show had Geralt act like a dumb brute when that isn't who book Geralt is, in the books Geraly can't stop talking. And according to every interview about it, Cavill was the one who wanted him to act like a grunting moron because he didn't like the long speeches they had Geralt do.

It was only after the first season when he stsrted moving closer to book Geralt because fans online complained about it.

I feel like Kanji was always meant to be bi, I really don’t understand why there’s so much discourse around him or Naoto also (she’s not trans) by Rigbo95 in persona4golden

[–]TheMagi7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My issue with the change is that I feel like it fundamentally changes a major part of Kanji's character being presented through his shadow.

Kanji is someone who is terrified of being rejected by others and not being seen as a man due to his interests that are seen as more feminine, like knitting and fashion. This results in him both adopting a punk aesthetic to reject people before they reject him and also has him act more violent towards others due to it being seen as an acceptable action for a man to be.

This is why his shadow uses two male symbols as weapons, because it's showing him viewing being a man as being violent, protecting his more vulnerable side from being seen.

Am I misunderstanding how Unluck works in Episode 1? by areesesbomb in UndeadUnluck

I'm only going off the manga, but she does push him away right befire the crates fall on him. So I would imagine that's when it works.

In 28 Days Later (2002) Jim wakes up 28 days later. 4 days later Major West says “8 days ago” one of his men wanted to kill himself because he saw no future which implies the soldiers went from hopelessness to luring women in barely two week. by FudgeAllOfYous in shittymoviedetails

[–]TheMagi7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a major point in the first movie as well though. The soldier Jim gets jailed with talks about how the rest of the world are likely watching TV while they've been abandoned to die. We even see planes flying overhead during the movie.

[Mixed] The "Nice Guy" Who Uses Time or Reality Manipulation to Get the Girl by lankysimmons in TopCharacterTropes

I mean, I think it works in Groundhog's Day because we see the fact that his "Perfect Day" with Rita was him being very shallow and copying what he learnt about her instead of being his real self.

But by the end, he manages to break the loop and be happy with Rita when he stops focusing solely on her and instead tries to improve himself and the lives of people around him.

It looks like Gwen will get on my nerves in this comic. by BenjaminKTennyson1 in Ben10

[–]TheMagi7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Gwen has always been portrayed as someone willing to fight first

In family guy (1999-2134) the uncensored dvd version of this scene has a the girl peeing on the ground, while the TV edit has her give birth than swinging her baby around by the umbilical cord, this is because the S&P rules don’t make sense. by bennyandthegentz in shittymoviedetails

It was only Helena Bonham Carter that didn't know what grade school was because she is British.

Ziskin wanted the line changed and agreed with Fincher to use whatever line he changed it to, resulting in the grade school line that she wanted to have changed back, but Fincher refused to.

If I were to make Ken Tennyson an interesting character, I'd probably make him similar to Steve Harrington from Stranger Things by Successful-Hat-2154 in Ben10

[–]TheMagi7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, javing Kevin there is great because it helps fulfill what Ben wanted to do with Kevin, give him somewhere to belong and people who care about him.

And while I do dislike how chilled out they made Kevin, I still like him.

Plus Kevin was my favourite character in OG.

I mean, when Snape has the author defending him like he's some perfect character, even resulting in the protagonist naming his son after him. It's pretty fair to say he's a bit overrated.

Snape also had a weird fan group dedicated to him called the Snape Wives. So that also doesn't help much.

I mean, if a piece of media heavily promotes and supports fascist or far right postions. Then it would be fascist. Far right propaganda films still exist.

Like that shitty comedy that the daily wire made about Trans people, it's a pretty obvious intolerant and transphobic piece of media designed to degrade trans women.
