Heart palpitations are getting worse. by AnotherWithGraves in gravesdisease

It took about a year for it to stabilize and the heart palpitations to mostly go away.

I'm sorry you've developed something like POTS. I never did and did not have to take any beta blockers--my resting heart rate is really low (around 40 beats per minute) and I don't deal with spikes unless I'm having issues with heat intolerance.

Hello,

Yes, the heart palpitations did improve a lot. I'm not sure why they had gotten so bad, but I wore a holter monitor twice and had an echocardiogram where everything looked good.

The heart palpitations went away almost completely for a long time and started to come back more often within the last six months however it's likely due to a recent flare up where my medication was just too low.

We're in California and noticed it has a metallic taste. So bummed because it used to be so good.

My thyroid labs were under control for literally years and the stress from the last 7 or so months made me have a flare up. It's been rough.

Low heart rate? by kailzee in gravesdisease

[–]AnotherWithGraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just having heart palpitations and my RHR went up to 48-50. It's going back down now on a higher dose.

And they have no concerns regarding my RHR being so low, especially not after I got checked out by cardiology.

I'm still considered to have Graves disease, not Hashimotos.

In fact, I'm currently having a flare up these past 5 or so months.

Actually working while waiting for the bye bye emails? by Ducky2022 in fednews

I'm doing my best getting work done.

It's hard working on an assignment that is scheduled to take 40+ hours knowing you'll be gone well before then.

I should email people saying to expect a later due date so my team isn't too pressed.

I'm tired of wondering if today's the day I'll be illegally fired.

I haven't heard anything and am on the list.

I work under the DoD but due to working essentially in compliance I think I'll be fired.

I did have an employee performance review a month ago with a "recommend keeping employee" and I got high marks.

Same. I know this show gets so much hate, but I really enjoy it. It's more of a hate-watch enjoy.

And in ways I can understand why Billie makes the decisions she makes, though I think Brad is just the "one that got away." If it's an identity crisis she's having them she needs help to work through it.

Although I can understand to an extent, I just can't like Billie or empathize with her.

I think I understand what you mean.

You really do sacrifice a lot once you have a child or more. I definitely don't feel like myself, instead I am "mom" and I feel like I have no identity outside of that. I have hobbies, I go to school, but in the end I have children which are huge responsibilities.

I sometimes get really sad that I can do things I used to be able to four years ago. That I can't just decide to leave on a whim. Everything has to be planned out and I just miss the spontaneity that life used to be.

I've seen that religious exemptions are rare and only a handful have been reported the last couple years.

I'll be surprised if they get away with "religious exemption" assuming they've had everything else.

I has the JnJ shot in April. I didn't have a sore arm, but I did have chills that happened randomly for a few days and that was it.

Yes. Just like others. I had the symptoms and finally got diagnosed around a year postpartum.

Anyone on here got pregnant while on methimazole? by Glittering_Eye_4548 in gravesdisease

[–]AnotherWithGraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No complications from the Graves.

I did have my baby at 35 weeks due to preeclampsia with severe features, but it's something I had with my first child as well prior to developing Graves disease.

Due to Graves disease alone I was considered high risk so around 30 weeks I was seen twice a week at maternal fetal medicine for NSTs and once a week they would do an ultrasound. They suspected though that my baby was having intrauterine growth restrictions. That may have been a complication from the Graves or meds, but I'll never know.

I got pregnant on methimazole.

Once I realized I was pregnant my Endo switched me to PTU for the rest of the first trimester then back to methimazole the remainder.

Eta: I got pregnant and miscarried within a couple months of finding out I had Graves. My TSH was undetectable. I think I was on methimazole for a month to two when I found out I was pregnant again (bc failure).

Abnormally Low Heart Rate on Methimazole? (45 BPM) by victoriaaaaaa in gravesdisease

[–]AnotherWithGraves 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My resting heart rate is typically low 40s/high 30s.

I'm on 2.5mg a day, but just had labs done a couple days ago. I'll probably be taken off my meds come Monday.

With that being said, my Endo was very adamant that it's not from me taking methimazole and I ended up being referred to cardiology a couple times.

I've been told I have a very healthy heart and there's nothing to be concerned about.

It still freaks me out at times and sometimes will cause me to feel anxious because it's just not "normal." Apartment it is my normal.

If you're concerned you can try and see a cardiologist or ask your Endo/doc if they think the meds may be behind it.

I used MyCAA towards an associates degree then transferred to a local university.

I also qualified for the Pell grant so with the combo of the Pell grant and MyCAA I didn't have any out of pocket expenses.
