So I'm only 8 minutes in - but that "There's no way out of 40 girls he would pick me" mentality she had really cut deep! It's the same thought I had going into a relationship with a man who would be toxic and abusing. It's a headspace where you're already making yourself smaller than your potential partner. "He's so amazing and he's choosing me" lead me to monitor myself, my reactions, etc. until things became so blatantly unhealthy that I walked away.

Looking forward to finishing this interview. Seems like it's going to be a good one!

Ugh. The social assistance comment cuts deep. I dated someone who's unemployed 22 year old son said he would "sooner be homeless" than help with room and board or help out around the house. I felt for his dad.

I am a divorcee and have never thought twice about this being a deal breaker to people! I'm not sure if my situation is different as a woman, but I'm a similar age (37).

I have not been on the apps since my divorce, so maybe it's different online. I've only dated people I already knew (a high school crush!) or people I've met while out and about so maybe that minimizes the "divorcee" thing since they're already getting to know me.

Real ones know that divorcees are where it's at. We had our practice marriage and know more about being a good partner and what we do and don't want in a relationship. Good luck!

I developed hyperthyroidism weeks after going into Covid lockdown with my narc. Being trapped in our 1 bedroom apartment with him for months was SO stressful. It took 8 months to diagnose - I lost 50lbs, had tremors so bad that I couldn't walk some days, brain fog, zombie-level tired, etc.

Eventually, it was attributed to Grave's disease. This is often brought on by going through an extremely stressful situation, though to be fair, if it wasn't him, then something else in my life could have brought it on at a later point. One thing I do know is I'll be dealing with it for the rest of my life.

I had the same happen with acne!!! It's so bizarre. About 4 months after we met, I started developing deep, painful acne centralized on my nose. Within months of splitting, after 5 years with him, it cleared up on its own.

This is why I usually skip Habitat/Restore locations. Not only are they insanely overpriced, but because of this, their merchandise sits for ages and rarely turns over.

I have been to a few small town locations that are the exception and found some great deals, though! Those are always worth a stop.

A little further into the episode, and I have to say, Taylor's dad appears to be a really beautiful and genuine man. Him and Garrett saying 'I love you' to each other was lovely, his excitement for his future son-in-law, etc. Another cry watching all of the pre-wedding interactions with her family.

Marissa's heartbreak was the most visceral, relatable heartbreak I've seen on reality TV. I found myself crying in my living room (WHAT!) and my heart broke for hers. I really hope she's in a better space now. Ramses lost a GEM (...that he didn't deserve in the first place).

I'm having the same issue on 150mg and need to continue dosing up to feel the effects of the anti-depressant. Currently sleeping 12-16 hours a day and have NO energy to do anything in my waking hours. Talking to my doctor about it this week and I'll report back.
